Treasure In The Sky
I don’t fancy watching Nigerian movies that much. My niche is watching true-life stories. I don’t care about the genre of the film be it Nollywood, Bollywood, or Hollywood. So far it's a movie based on a true life story I am good to go.
I have watched Indian movies like Dangal, which I watched and got to understand more about life. I learned more about passion and vision, and I also learned more about consistency and dedication. All of those movies are mind-blowing.
Most times you can’t watch a true life-based movie and not have something to gain from it. There was one I watched about a young boy who was aspiring to become a musician. He was diagnosed with a life-threatening cancer at a young age.
At some point, he was about to give up on life, even his career but he got motivated by his teacher. He wrote and sang a song titled Clouds and it became one of the hit music of the year and top of Apple music list. Clouds was trending though he didn’t live much longer after his hit song.
In my life, I try to put all of the lessons I learned from movies into my own experience. If it were fictional movies then I can say it's some kind of cook-up or make-up storyline. But as true life, then this was something someone just did and made history with it.
Recently was another amazing movie I watched about a guy who joined the U.S. Army as an interpreter. He really wanted to save his family from the harm of the terrorist. At some point, he discovered the terrorist hideouts and where they had their bomb plant.
This discovery of his took the life of a lot of soldiers but his bravery and ambitious mindset had him rescue the captain who led the charge. He saved the captain and took him back to base.
The funniest part of it was that the captain was haunted by those memories even after he was healed and discharged from the hospital. He had to get his lifesaver out of the mess he put him in. He needs to get him to the US and not let him live his entire life hiding.
He went back to the country and made plans to save the interpreter and his family. That was really worth watching. He didn’t give up on his dreams and he did achieve them.
Treasure in the Sky!
This is a fictional movie and even a Nollywood movie. So I just had none of my preferences in it. But the movie was recommended by a friend who has watched it and gave a review. I asked if it was a true life story, and he said No! I asked if it was not Nollywood, and he said No it is. I almost ignored watching it not until he tried to convince me to. So I was left with no choice.
The movie almost brought tears down my face. The storyline and the plot twist were just so crazy. It's been a long time since I watched a tragic movie. It turned out to be one of the amazing movies I watched last year.
One great lesson I learned from the movie is not to judge a book by its cover. You can't tell what others are going through, you can’t imagine the pain they are undergoing, you can’t determine the pressure on them. The smile on their face might not be their true self.
Watching Treasure in the sky touched my heart. People pass through a lot just to see others happy. People keep a lot just to make peace reign. Not until they are gone and no more then you might begin to know their worth.
In short. Just try as much to appreciate everyone and everything that comes your way. Never take any single thing for granted.

So many things are happening. Behind the smile and laughter, many people are in pain. I watched treasure in the sky when it was newly released, and I kept thinking about how well the Nollywood movie industry was getting better. The movie is emotional and has lessons to give.
