Kingsman 2 | Action Over Plot?

This is probably my third time of watching Kingsman just for fun and it is strange that this time, I got something more than fun. The one thing that fascinates me with such movies is their unrealistic weapons, which always distracts me from what goes on in the movie. But this time, I actually caught on the storyline(which wasn’t even all that)

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is the part two of the first kingsman. This is a 2017 action movie about an agency whose aim was to save the world but got attacked so had to seek for help from their brother agency. After getting to their brother agency, they found out another organization who was a threat to the world needed to be dealt with so they set off on a mission to save the world.

Before I even start, let me say that all the characters were great. I really liked how everyone played their roles so well. At a point I paused the movie to search for the bts because I couldn’t believe they made mistakes while filming. They all looked so natural playing whatever roles they were given.

I also liked that they added some subtle twists in the plot of the movie. That’s what made it worth watching at a point because it got boring. And from the part one, it was so predictable what was going to happen in the end. So when that tiny weeny twist happened, I was like whatt? and even got more interested when I found out who was asked to play that role.

The cinematography team for this particular movie deserves an award because of how clean all the angles for the movie were. The slow motions especially, were just mind blowing and you know that feeling you get when you are watching action movies? They were all over me. You should have seen me clapping my hands at some point all because the clean angles in the movie.

Another thing I liked about the movie was their names. We all know how these secret agent movies are and the kind of ridiculous names they give the agents. But this was different. I mean I would have understood if they did but I’m just glad they didn’t. Nothing like Agent Dexterity or Agent Pseudoscience.

The only thing I didn’t understand in the movie was the way certain people died. I believe it would have been more fun for them to have died in fights or battles and not bombs. After all, they were secret agents.

What I took from this movie is that, people are so weird to the extent, they would go extreme to endanger others just for their gains. And most times, the things they want don’t even make sense. Oh and another thing;the people who will betray you are even more closer than you think and there’s nothing you can do to see it coming. Let me leave 7.5/10 for this movie just because of the action not the storyline.

Especially the singing part
“Country home, take me home” and so on.
You have it 7.5 but I’ll give it a solid 8.5/10
