Lately, I have seen many series and anime, some are on air, so I do not dare to give a greater opinion, although it would not hurt because many times when reading about the opinions, reviews and reviews one is encouraged to see something or put it on the list of the next thing to see.

A few days ago I saw in TIkTok the recommendation of a movie and seeing part of their scenes seemed interesting so I decided to give it a try and it turned out to pose a situation or scenario that other movies and series have presented us but from another angle but without the postapocalyptic scheme.

The Gorge

The Gorge in Latin America the secret abyss, is a film just out of the oven and tells us how two elite agents are sent to guard a place hidden from the eyes of the world of which only know what their predecessor inform them at the time of delivering the guard, one of them the former U.S. Marine Levi (Miles Teller) who is a bit skeptical when they clarify that his mission is not to guard the entrance to the place, is the output of what is there, some beings called empty men.

According to his orders he should not contact his counterpart and vice versa, but being so alone they begin to communicate by messages on sheets and blackboards, so they begin a friendship and being his counterpart a woman Drasa (Anya Taylor-Joy) end up completely breaking the protocol and in love.

The couple discovers what they are guarding and that it is not only about not getting out what is there, there are more murky intentions about what is there, besides realizing that both are expendable for their respective nations.

Now, the film at the beginning is a little slow, but when we get to the place where the protagonists are in their stations, it is noted that this slowness was necessary to put us in context, these new beings that show us there, which I do not know if we could call zombies have interesting characteristics and also what transformed them into these beings not only affected the humans of the abyss but also the flora and fauna of the place, which is a new premise.

In The Gorge I saw some aspects that reminded me of a famous series of which this 2025 will be released the second season The Last of Us, has its strengths, but some things that make you think about the improbability of some of the situations, among its strengths is its cast in which the protagonists and the performance of Sigourney Weaver stand out, I do not remember paying attention to the soundtrack because I was trying to understand where the beings came from and what they are saying there.

Words more words less is an attempt to give us know zombie-like creatures with intelligence traits that must be controlled and take advantage of, a mixture of action, horror, romance and fantasy in which none of the 4 genres predominates over the other (a cocktail), an option to entertain? yes, but depending on how critical you are and how much you expect from the film will like it or not. I give it a 6 out of 10.

Últimamente, he visto muchas series y anime, algunos están en emisión, por lo que no me atrevo a dar una mayor opinión, aunque no estaría de más porque muchas veces al leer sobre las opiniones, críticas y review uno se anima a ver algo o a ponerlo en la lista de lo próximo a ver.

Hace unos días vi en TIkTok la recomendación de una película y al ver parte de sus escenas me pareció interesante por lo que me decidí a darle una oportunidad y resultó plantear una situación o panorama que otras películas y series nos han presentado pero desde otro ángulo pero sin el esquema postapocalíptico.

El Abismo Secreto

The Gorge en Latinoamérica el Abismo secreto, es una película recién salida del horno y nos narra como dos agentes de elite son enviados a custodiar un lugar oculto de los ojos del mundo del que solo conocen lo que su predecesor les informan al momento de entregarles la guardia, uno de ellos el ex marine americano Levi (Miles Teller) quien se muestra un poco escéptico cuando le aclaran que su misión no es cuidar el ingreso al lugar, es la salida de lo que allí se encuentra, unos seres llamados hombres vacíos.

De acuerdo a sus órdenes él no debía contactar a su contraparte y viceversa, pero al estar tan solos comienzan a comunicarse por mensajes en hojas y pizarrones, así comienzan una amistad y al ser su contraparte una mujer Drasa (Anya Taylor-Joy) terminan rompiendo por completo el protocolo y enamorados.

La pareja descubre lo que custodian y que no solo se trata de que no salga lo que allí se encuentra, hay intensiones más turbias sobre lo que allí se encuentra, además de darse cuenta de que ambos son prescindibles para sus respectivas naciones.

Ahora bien, la película al comienzo es un poco lenta, pero al llegar al lugar donde los protagonistas se encuentran en sus estaciones, se nota que esa lentitud era necesaria para ponernos en contexto, estos nuevos seres que allí nos muestran a los que no se si podríamos llamar zombis poseen interesantes características y además lo que les trasformo en estos seres no solo afecto a los seres humanos del abismo también a la flora y fauna del lugar, lo que es una nueva premisa

En The Gorge vi algunos aspectos que me hicieron recordar una famosa serie de la cual este 2025 se estrenara la segunda temporada The Last of Us, tiene sus puntos fuertes, pero algunas cosas que te hacen pensar en lo improbable de algunas de las situaciones, entre sus fuertes está su elenco en el que destacan los protagonistas y la actuación de Sigourney Weaver, no recuerdo prestarle atención a la banda sonora porque estaba procurando comprender de donde provenían los seres y lo allí platean.

Palabras más palabras menos es un intento por darnos conoce criaturas tipo zombis con rasgos de inteligencia a los que hay que controlar y sacarles provecho, una mezcla de acción, terror, romance y fantasía en la que ninguno de los 4 géneros predomina sobre el otro (un coctel), ¿una opción para entretenerse? si, pero que dependiendo de que tan crítico se sea y de que tanto se espere de la película gustara o no. Yo le doy un 6 de 10.
