G20|| A formidable summit
Hello!

I Will say G20 is one of the most thrilling and engaging movies I have ever watched in the year 2025. It was directed by Patricia Riggen and written by Caitlin Parrish, Erica Weiss, Noah Miller and Logan.
It centers on the coming together of 20 richest nations of the world for a summit in South Africa to make life easier for the farmers and the general masses. Their good intentions and the venue were however hijacked by some terrorists led by Rutledge. It was indeed a global coup.
The movie highlighted some important themes like family bond, technological exploration, youthful exuberance, loyalty and most especially betrayal. Rutledge couldn't have gained much access let alone hijacking such a global summit if not for some moles within the US government such Joana, the treasury secretary, who sold them out because she thought she was supposed to be in the presidency position that madam Sutton occupied. Even Darden, one of the US security agents, also compromised and betrayed their trust.
THE PLOT:
Sutton Danielle, who was the USA president however, brought the actions in the movie to life. Her ability to revisit her military skills to navigate the sudden situation that befell them, even when (a man figure) the British minister, Olivet was scared, was amazing. Sutton Danielle remained so strong in the face of adversity, even when her children and husband were also in danger. She encouraged other leaders with her and overcame them in the end.
Her victory might however not have been possible without the technical know how of her teenage daughter, Serena. She's a very smart and brilliant 17 years old girl that thought of dismantling some components from the satellites to generate a remote wifi to hack into the system of the terrorists and eventually got the codes to unlock the entrances into the hostages.
Even Though Serena had always been dissuaded from exploring as a teen. Her knowledge and experience later paid off in conquering the terrorists. Also, the way madam president and her husband, Derek love their children despite the attitudes from Serena shows that parental love is everything. The way the children love their parents in turn and watch their backs shows what family is all about.
The contributions of Manny cannot be overemphasized. I personally call Manny, the loyalist. His loyalty to Madam president was ‘till death do us part’ . Even when he had been shot and gasping for life, he insisted on being by her side. He jumped down from a moving car just to protect Madam President. This greatly shows that even if the world is against us, no matter the level of betrayal, there will definitely be someone on our side.
The movie also heightened the importance of unity and team work spirit which was evident in Elena, the prime minister, mei so. They all supported Madam president, not minding they are also leaders on their own. They really worked together for the victory.
Oh, I won't forget to mention the theme of appreciation. The movie captures a lot of scenes where the president acknowledges the efforts of others. She didn't overlook the efforts of Han Seo as just a vulnerable wife of a president, with no fighting skills but she appreciated her when she was the first to slip down a small hole that led them to a safer place when they wanted to capture them. She Also acknowledged and and appreciated her when she stabbed Rutledge when he was wrestling about to kill the president.
The movie, I would say, captured a lot about human life. I love and enjoy watching it over and over again.
