KADIN a story full of nostalgia
More than a year ago while I was looking for content to watch while I was drawing, I discovered Turkish series, I really had no faith in this type of programs, I thought that maybe it would be more of the same, like the Latin tv shows, I could not be more wrong, since then until today I can say that I love them madly, most of them I have seen have stories that are quite different from the usual, cute stories, tragic, romantic, joyful, with moments so happy that can be overshadowed by equal or darker moments, just like life itself.
Among all the series I have seen KADIN has marked my heart in an inexplicable way, I am a very difficult person to catch with the plots of movies and series and KADIN managed to catch me from chapter 1 without getting bored in any other episode, even if absolutely nothing happens.
Each chapter is full of something that makes you feel that you want to keep watching more and discover more about the characters of this series.
Welcome to this post where I want to express how much I liked this show, I don't usually do reviews very often but I liked this Turkish series so much that I couldn't help but share with you this experience that lasted about a month, yes, a month, I watched the series even to go to sleep, or cooking, I couldn't stop watching it seriously hahaha.
KADIN or “Woman” is a Turkish series of the year 2017 is a drama series but we can also find in some chapters comedy, very funny situations as well as also fill us with despair and anger in certain chapters, for me, it has a little of everything and not to make spoiler here is a summary of this series with few details so that it can be seen by those without knowing everything that happens in this series.
This series is on the MAX platform.
In this story we will meet BAHAR a woman who begins her story in the first chapter remembering how she met the love of her life SARP, while we know how was that first meeting between these two people we discover that Bahar is in the present telling her children this beautiful love story, in this present her husband is no longer with them, from this moment you begin to imagine what could have happened so that Sarp is no longer with his family, however this will be revealed little by little and we will realize that this beautiful relationship was not what it seemed, Meanwhile, Bahar is now a single mother of two children, you just fill you with nostalgia to see all the difficulties she has to go through alone with her two children, taking care of them while working to not starve, is something really hard because many people in the world go through this every day, I even felt identified in some parts, because my husband and I have gone through such difficult times where we had nothing to eat at home, so I think this series touched me so much.
As the story progresses we also learn that Bahar has a family, but she hasn't spoken to them for 20 years, that's another mystery that the series reveals little by little, the story progresses quite slowly but each chapter is very gripping and touching and the twists that we will see later make you fill with suspense and you want to know quickly what will happen in the next episode.
Sirin is Bahar's sister and I warn you that she is the character you are going to hate the most, not because she acts bad, it's the opposite, she acts so well that you hate her with all your strength, she is a cold person, without feelings or empathy, she is bad just because, there is no trigger so serious that I can say that caused this havoc in her personality, I really HATE her hahaha, basically the whole plot of this series is her fault.
I really like Bahar's scenes with her kids, maybe in another time of my life I would hate those kids, but now that I'm a mother I understand and see things differently hahaha, they seem to me kids that act very well and are tender and funny, many of the scenes that stole smiles from me is when these two appear.
During the development of the story we meet many characters that practically steal your heart, Enver is one of them, he is a person that at the beginning we could think he is bad, but he is really noble with a very nice heart and ends up being the grandfather of these children and a real father to Bahar.
Bahar is a woman who despite her world falling apart keeps going forward for her children, she never gives up and never thinks of her own well being before that of her children, sometimes we can take these actions as an example for our lives when we feel that everything becomes dark, there will always be a small light that can motivate us to move forward, however, we must not forget our happiness, something that sometimes Bahar leaves aside to fulfill her role as a mother 100%.
We can see how during the story each character develops much more and the plot becomes more interesting and confusing but little by little you start to put together the pieces of the puzzle and begin to understand that not everything is what it seems.
For me one of the best Turkish series I've seen, I liked it a lot from the beginning to the end, when I finished watching it I felt a huge emptiness in my chest, this series has 3 seasons so I warn you that it is quite long.
This was my opinion and excuse me if I didn't express myself well, I really don't usually do this kind of post and my ideas sometimes get too much mixed up in my head, have a nice start of the week!
Yeehaw! This post is as wild and captivating as a rodeo! 🤠🐎
Hahaha thanks alot!
Turkish series is an epic on its own. I used to watch a few of them and they are pretty nostalgic. I'll check this one out when I can.
They are really good, I have seen a lot of them, although there are some that are too surreal and boring, but most of them are excellent!
I hope you see this one soon, I liked it a lot!☺
