BEING A BAD MOM IS NOT TOO BAD.

I was preparing breakfast two days ago when suddenly there came a heavy downpour which made our cable tv to disconnect. Nevertheless we can still keep ourselves entertained with the many movies that i recorded which was one of the good features of the dstv explorer.

I clicked on Bad Moms and to be honest i will never get tired of watching that movie. The plot was all about the plight of many parents outthere who are doing all the work with no help not even their partner's help and also those despite all their hardwork are unappreciated.

We get to see Amy who was the main character in the movie. She was a single mother of two who tried to be everything for her family. She hurriedly makes breakfast for her kids in her working clothes, noticed that the dog was limping and so head to vet after dropping her kids in the school. The PTA president made her to accidentally pour her coffee on her working clothes, she got to her job and was dismissed. Notwithstanding that, she rushed to meet up with her daughter's soccer practice but was late and her daughter was pissed with her. She tried to take a decent food inside her car and she was hit at back making the food to pour on her body. It was a horrible mom day for her. Exhausted and stressed she still made her way to the PTA meeting only to discover that the reason why the domineering PTA president called for the emergency meeting was to discuss about the bake sale. She was so angry and so opt out of the PTA meeting. She went to a bar to drink and there she saw other burnt out mothers Kiki and Carla. Together they plan to do only what they love, stop trying to be perfect and be bad moms.

So they went on a rampage,a drinking spree and doing what makes them happy no matter how silly it looks. Amy stopped making breakfast for her children and told them to learn how to cook and Kiki on the other hand stopped fidgeting whenever she saw her husband's call. Infact her husband who don't use to help her to do any work at home was surprised when he called Kiki demanding that she comes back and take care of the kids but Kiki shouted at him telling him to take care of them himself.

She felt so good and relieved after doing that. Amy and Carla praised her for standing up for herself.

The PTA president Gwendolyn and her friends Stacy and Vicky were the exmaples of parents that pretend to have it all together. They gossip every school morning judging other parents unfairly. They gossiped about Kiki having many children and they judged Amy for being a working class mother leaving her children for work all day. Amy got tired of their over zealousness and domineering way in handling things in the PTA and decided to run for PTA president. Gwendololyn did many terrible things in order to disqualify Amy and make her look bad in front of other parents but Amy came out stronger. When Gwendololyn was holding meeting on how it's good to give the kids many homeworks, Amy was hosting a party in her house for fun and this made the parents to disappear from Gwendolyn's meeting and went to Amy's house to party.

Amy later won the President of the PTA because she opened up her vulnerability to them. She said as a mom she dosen't even know what she was doing. She talked about the bad things she does and before you know it every parents started opening up about their bad mom behaviours too. When Amy won, Gwendolyn went to her exotic car to cry her eyes out. Amy saw her and walked up to her.
Gwendolyn confessed to her that being the President of the PTA was actually the only thing good going on in her life. Her husband was wanted by the police for embezzling millions of dollars and so many other bad things going on in her life. She cried bitterly and Amy was so surprised because everyone thought that Gwendolyn life was perfect and stainless.

But it seems that no mom has it all perfect afterall.
