If there is something that can be highlighted in this film is its excellent photography, the images that transport us to a world that does not exist but that we can even feel through its protagonists.
Experts say that second parts are never good and certainly, personally, I feel that this film does not surpass the first one in terms of plot, although the special effects are more advanced.

The plot tells the story of the family of Jake Sully who is head of the Omaticay clan after the return of the humans, sixteen years after having been expelled, who hope to colonize the planet under the command of Colonel Miles Quaritch.
It is a super production in which they spent about 500 million dollars and has a duration of just over three hours, which shows a new region of the planet Pandora that was not made in the first, the water.
The battles, as in the first part, are epic, modern weapons against ingenious and the value of the strength of the locals is in the love of their land and the rebellion of being conquered.

Sam Worthington reprises his role of Jake Sully and likewise Zoe Saldaña plays Neytiri Omaticaya and Stephen Lang plays Colonel Miles Quaritch, while the script was written by Josh Friedman and the music, very important for the scenes, was by Simon Franglen.
It was released in December 2022 and the public's acceptance was immediate, making it the third highest grossing film in history, collecting more than 2.3 billion dollars at the box office.
The critics were positive towards the film, highlighting that the emotional aspect was far above its excellent visual part, in addition to the attractiveness of the plot, but it was not so successful at the Oscars, since it only had 4 nominations, obtaining only the Best Visual Effects.

The highlights of this second part are undoubtedly the scenes taken underwater in which a mixture of underwater filming with motion capture was used, something new and used for the first time.
James Cameron, the proud director announced that it would possibly be re-released with 3D technique without glasses, before the new sequel that is announced for December 2024, something that would be the first in history but there is still no news of a date.

Undoubtedly this film is a visual delight with a simple plot that highlights the importance of family ties and the power of alliances to face problems.
I recommend watching it without the idealization of fierce continuous combats like the first one.
