One day you wake up like any other at the start of a new day, with your thoughts focused on the most mundane and simple things. In fact, it's nothing more than a habit that repeats itself over and over again.

You think about your morning shower, what to wear, breakfast and where you want to go. School, work, wherever you normally go... or maybe you're doing something different.

You may be travelling away from the place you call home. In this case, you're thinking about which train to take and where to go.

You get on the train, sit happily in your seat, immersed in a happy mood. When you know you're going to spend a few hours alone, there's nothing left to do but let your thoughts wander, look out the window and immerse yourself in your own world.

As you read, there was no immediate plan but to let yourself drift off to the next destination.

At that moment, a girl sits down next to you. You look at her because when we see someone move, we instinctively look at her. She looks at you too.

Something happens. Your heart beats faster than your thoughts and you can already feel that this journey will not leave you alone.

Before you stop to think about it, your instinct has started to act on its own, sensing your reaction. Maybe she feels the same way you do.

You have to talk to her or die there because you know that if you don't you will regret it for the rest of your life. You simply have to make connections. She will respond to you.

You are two strangers who met on different trajectories. In that brief moment of intersection, you walked together.

The union of the two trajectories only lasts a short time, you both realise that, but in spite of that, or maybe because of it, you suddenly decide to share more with each other than with anyone else, because paradoxically, sometimes it is easier to open up to strangers than to acquaintances.

You can talk freely because you don't have enough time to do anything else. It's like when you go to a remote beach to spend the day, you are anonymous and so you decide to take off all your clothes and you don't care if they see you naked.

You talk and talk, you let out some of your thoughts and your heart, and you realise that there is probably no other place you want to be and no other person to talk to that makes you feel as good.

This is how love begins. Between conversations, springs like dewdrops. Between bridges that stretch from one appearance to another. Between laughter and laughter. Between joy and certainty, no one else in the world wants to be with you right now. Just stay with her. Just stay with him.

This is the story of Céline (Julie Delpy), a French student, and Jesse (Ethan Hawke), a young American travelling in Europe after being dumped by his girlfriend.

The story of a simply wonderful night.

An unconventional way to review a film that dates back several years, with a beautiful and stimulating story of a casual love affair. Greetings, @andreseloy581.
