This is a drama/action film directed by James Mangold and written by Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth and Jason Keller. It is based on true events and follows the rivalry between the Ford and Ferrari car companies in the 1960s.

The plot centres on visionary car designer Carroll Shelby, played by Matt Damon, and fearless driver Ken Miles, played by Christian Bale.

Together, they embark on a mission to build a car capable of challenging Ferrari's domination of the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race.

The film immerses us in the world of motor racing at the time, with its high stakes, intense rivalries and desire to push the limits.

As Shelby and Miles work to develop the revolutionary Ford GT40, they face technical, political and personal challenges.

At the 2020 Academy Awards, it received four nominations, including Best Picture, Best Editing, Best Sound and Best Sound Editing. It won the award for Best Editing, which recognises the film's ability to maintain pace and tension in the racing sequences.

In addition to the Academy Awards, the film has also been recognised at other important ceremonies. It won Best Action Movie at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards, where it also received nominations in categories such as Best Actor (Christian Bale) and Best Editing.

At the BAFTA Awards, was nominated for Best Editing, Best Sound and Best Production Design. However, it failed to win any awards on this occasion.

As of March 7, 2020, Ford v Ferrari has grossed $117.6 million in the United States and Canada, and $107.9 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of $225.5 million.
