The movie features four fun-seeking teens at their first high school party. .
It's one of the surprises of the summer, it wasn't in theaters and so you didn't pay an expensive ticket to see it in a crowded movie theater full of uneducated strangers that was the Netflix premiere on a Friday night, because then it could be a disaster.
Far from being an eighth wonder or reinventing the wheel, it is entertaining and contains some very successful jokes, although one of them left me with lifelong consequences.

For those with weak stomachs or who can't stand bawdy humor, steer clear of this, because this homage to Pulp Fiction is far from easy to swallow.
There are many films better than it, but again, this is a Netflix release and considering this factor, there is nothing left but to accept it, because despite its lack. of originality and freshness, and throughout its eighty minutes of tension, it is friendly, fun and does not leave yawning. What more do you want?
Also, the young cast is more than convincing, special mention must be made of the always wonderful Bobby Cannavale who is having a great time and is dedicated to his work as he is a generous actor, so you are welcome to the party.
This is not the best comedy of the year and will not become a new classic of the genre, but I'll be damned if you're not amused by a joke that fools no one and acts like a joke. reaction to classic movies, because these types of comedies are sometimes useful without any pretense or desire to entertain the viewer, and for me they worked.
A synthesis of it could be this: Sexually mature people start a new stage in their studies. With the usual humorous situations arising from their (excessive) interest in the opposite sex, their desire to belong to the herd, etc. And based on the basis of friendship.
All this is seasoned with a bitter, honest and rather strange humor. And the details, sometimes absurd, sometimes funny and many times tender.
What do you want me to say, I love it. It made me laugh and entertained me for 90 minutes. It makes me smile, which is so important these days.

And that, I think, is enough in my opinion. It doesn't have to be as fresh form of humour, or leave you slack-jawed with it being a masterpiece, but it's entertaining and that's what matters. Lovely review.✨
Thank you for your comment
It is always the bad jokes that get me laughing. Thankfully, my partner just renewed Netflix subscription and I will check this out. Cool review, by the way.
