This Spanish romantic production is based on the novel by writer Jordi Sierra i Fabra entitled Un poco de abril, algo de mayo, todo septiembre and adapted by David Menkes, who was nominated in 1996 for the Goya awards for the film "Más que amor frenesí" and was assisted by the author himself.

The plot revolves around Sol, played by Ana de Armas, a young woman who places a newspaper ad looking for a partner, after suffering a love disappointment that in addition to tears left her infected by H.I.V., so the candidate must have the same disease.

Dani, played by Martiño Rivas, winner of several awards in 2008 and 2009 for his appearances in the productions "El internado" and "Los Girasoles ciegos", who seems to meet the necessary conditions for a future love relationship.

Both are attracted to each other and continue with what was planned at the beginning but there is something in his life that will impact the supposedly perfect romance and alter what seemed to have a happy ending.

The film has long dialogues between both protagonists that often take away the charm of the scenes and the locations look very lonely in many cases.

The main characters are accompanied by a group of actors who are: Megan Montaner as Lidia, Marina Salas as Gloria, Jan Cornet as Dario, Alejandra Onieva as Mamen, Joel Bosqued as Sandro.and Andrea Duro as Marta, while the music is by Pasco Ortega and photography by Nestor Calvo.

Its premiere occurred on May 16, 2014 and the critics' opinion was not good, highlighting some the inconsistency of the dialogues, and failures in editing and direction and others consider that the artists were weak in the interpretation of the characters, besides that the subject of H.I.V. is not treated as it should be.

It was presented at the 17th Malaga Film Festival, obtaining equally unfavorable reviews and the objection about the poor adaptation of the dialogues, however it had a nomination for the Goya Awards for Best Costume Design, work done by Cristina Rodriguez.

Personally I found it simple and although it fulfills the task of entertaining, undoubtedly the low budget for the same attempt to make something better achieved.
