This film claims to be based on real events, where the legal battle to obtain the rights to the game created by Alekséi Pázhitnov and versioned for IBM PC by Vadim Gerasimov is exposed in the middle of the cold war.
It stars Taron Egerton, winner of the 2020 Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical for the film Rocketman, who plays the role of Henk Rogers.

The script was written by Noah Pink and it tries to show in a way, sometimes humorously, the obstacles that were presented to acquire the rights, however personally I consider that it has extravagant and very politicized scenes.
The film had its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in March 2023, and was subsequently released on the streaming platform, Apple TV+ on March 31.
It was directed by Jon S. Baird who came from doing work on a similar film shot in 2018 called Stan & Ollie, based on the life of Laurel and Hardy.

The public's opinion has been good, highlighting the editing and editing of the same but also highlighting the confusing plot at the beginning, while that of the critics has been mixed, some say that this fails to build its story, getting lost in a bland recreation of the struggle between the entertainment empires built by the Maxwells or the interests of Nintendo and the marketing of their desktop and portable machines.
According to some experts in the area, the production of this film was in the order of 80 million dollars.

The final product is entertaining, unveils many secrets and exploits the nostalgia of that time when video games were just beginning to be part of everyone's entertainment and they were simple.
