In late 1941, during World War II, the United Kingdom is struggling to stop Nazi Germany's attempts to take over Europe, and London is regularly bombed by the Luftwaffe.

With his supply and aid ships constantly sunk by German U-boats, Brigadier Colin Gubbins, with the indirect support of Prime Minister Winston Churchill, prepares to launch Operation Postmaster, a covert operations sabotage mission aimed at disrupting the Nazis' U-boat resupply operation on the Spanish-controlled island of Ferdinand Po.

While SOE agents Marjorie Stewart and Richard Heron depart by train, Gubbins recruits Gus March-Phillips to assemble a ground team to destroy the Italian supply ship Duchessa d'Aosta and two tugboats attached to it.

Using the neutral Swedish fishing boat Maid of Honor, Gus and his allies, Graham Hayes, Freddy Alvarez and Danish naval officer Anders Lassen (the only non-British subject to receive the Victoria Cross), begin the slow sail to Ferdinand Po.

This is a film that belongs to the war genre and presents the story of a motley crew of soldiers are recruited to attack the Nazis in a military operation that almost no one would dare to do.

The screenplay for this story is based on the book ‘Churchill's Secret Warriors: The Explosive True Story of the Special Forces Desperadoes of WWII’ by the British journalist and writer Damien Lewisy and they have counted on a pretty good team of scriptwriters in which I can name “Arash Amel”, “Eric Johnson”, “Guy Ritchie”, “Paul Tamasy” who present us with a story with a lot of action, explosions, espionage and a lot of shooting everywhere, but with one of the craziest and suicidal military operations I have seen in the history of cinema.

On the acting level it has big names from both series and movies, such as ‘Henry Cavill’, ‘Alan Ritchson’ and in general terms I think that all the cast of actors have done a good job in their performances and you can see that each one of them have enjoyed playing their roles a lot.

At the level of special effects has enough practical effects in part along with real scenarios and I think that in this aspect along with the costumes of the actors has been a setting in every way quite good to give life, but also enhance those action scenes with gunfire, explosions.

The music used for this film is in keeping with the period in which these events took place, which are based on a true story, and I think that despite not standing out too much I think that the tracks chosen are quite good in general terms.

I have heard about it and watched the trailer earlier. Seems like it's a good one. It's a kind of movie that needs attention, right? I will watch it when I get the time/opportunity.
