MOVIE REVIEW (PRIDE AND PREJUDICE)

Another Period Piece😁

Talking about Pride and Prejudice,I have come to realize that it is quite a controversial movie, like the majority of the people who watched it are sort of okay with it, I mean it either meets your expectations or it doesn't and then you move on from it. But then, there is this group of people who are literally obsessed with it 😅 and I happen to be among those type of people.

I personally read the book like at least three times. And then I watched the 2005 remake at least 20 times, I'm not even exaggerating I'm just obsessed with the movie. I can be in any mood and still be able to watch this movie on Netflix, It's just my comfort movie. I'm obsessed with it , Hence I sat down and decided to make a movie review for the 2005 remake of Pride and Prejudice by joe wright, Because I really Like to talk about this movie and I wanted to relieve it all my semi-professional point of view 😂 and then maybe change your opinion on this movie and maybe even make you like it even more than I do Okay, so, I want to start with the cast and acting obviously, I don't really have much to say about it because everyone was literally amazing and perfectly casted for their roles. So naturally starting off with Kira Knightley in her role of Elizabeth bennet's and I'm pretty sure everyone can agree on the fact that she was literally spectacular in this role, I mean Obviously She's like the freaking queen of period drama, Like she's amazing, her facial expressions and everything was made for period dramas and even though this was like one of her first Time been in one and I'm pretty sure it was her first period piece, She was absolutely amazing and she was 18 or 19 years old and it was just Breathtaking.
Her performance was just amazing. Like I said before, I read the book like two time, while I was reading the way I pictured Elizabeth was just literally so similar to Kiera's portrayal, In my opinion this was the defining moment of her her career, moving on with Matthew Macfadyen as Mr Darcy, I personally think that Matthew was just the man for the job his face has this weird and awkward look and so mysterious at the same time, I have actually in the past seen some reviews on Matthews performance of Darcy and they said that in the book we actually Kind of see a more awkward Mr Darcy, But in the movie, we see a much more awkward and shy Mr. Darcy and I partly agree that while reading the book, I imagined him to be proud and in the movie too he's very proud But they also went for a little bit more Awkward side of them, and I don't think that anything is wrong with that, It's just a different depiction of him. Yes, he's proud , he has trust issues and has difficulties conversing with other people because his childhood friend abandoned him and his sister because he found out that he couldn't get any money from them. He looks after like a gigantic house to take care of,He also has a lot of business going on and he's takes care of his 15 year old sister by himself course he's going to be proud and awkward at the end of the day

Moving on with the side characters, of course, The Bennet sisters were also quite good. Jane Bennet was portrayed by Rosamund Pike and I love her, She really reflected the character perfectly and then the guy from Hunger Games, Donald Sutherland I think as Mr Bennett's, He was also quite amazing. The last scene where he gives his Blessing. I find that scene really emotional every single time and it's just really cute. And I love their chemistry as father and daughter just amazing.

   The cinematography,  I'm pretty sure everyone can agree on the fact that this movie has some spectacular shots from The way the scenes are shot gives like it gives the perfect delivery of Both the plots and the emotions, every individual character is feeling in that particular scene

The thunderstorm in the background was blue and gray and like dark green overtones. Just compliments and emphasizes those feelings between them. Also, the sound of the storm, like the rain dripping on voices, had the wet sand, most atmosphere reflects the uncomfortable and like stressful state of Darcy, but also kind of gives a romantic context for him to declare his love in this gorgeous scenery. The ballroom scene was also very iconic in my opinion, in terms of cinematography, basically, we as the audience get to experience with room by room as a camera Glides through out the entire mention. So we first enter it with the Bennet sisters who
played their roles so well too
So it uses a camera to not only show what the outside is but we also kind of get to see from the perspectives of Elizabeth and Darcy because in that particular scene they only see each other. They focus only on each other which resulted in a dramatic way, Its such a beautiful scene. Dramatically moving on to the last proposal scene, which was just cinematically Beautiful.
