Miller's Girl: Literature and Eroticism?

Hello dear community of Hive, I hope you are very well. Today I come more than a review to a movie a little controversial since it came out where we have the interpretation of Jenna Ortega and Martin Freeman, protagonists who have an age difference of 31 years. Maybe yes, but it doesn't take away from what this movie was.

Hola querida comunidad de Hive, espero se encuentren muy bien. El dia de hoy vengo mas que una crítica a una película un poco polémica desde que salió donde tenemos la interpretación de Jenna Ortega y Martin Freeman, protagonistas que se llevan una diferencia de edad de 31 años ¿polémico? Tal vez sí, pero no quita lo que fue esta película.

I'm talking about Milles Girl, a thiller and drama story starring as I said before Jenna Ortega (Cairo Sweet), Martin Freeman (Jonathan Miller), Gideon Adlon (Winnie Black), Dagmara Dominczyk (Beatriz Jude) among other actors. The story was released in theaters and well I want to say that this is my humble opinion, we all have the right to think and have different opinions.

Estoy hablando de Milles Girl una historia de thiller y drama protagonizada como dije anteriormente por Jenna Ortega (Cairo Sweet), Martin Freeman (Jonathan Miller), Gideon Adlon (Winnie Black), Dagmara Dominczyk (Beatriz Jude) entre otros actores. La historia fue estrenada en Cines y bueno quiero decir que es mi humilde opinión, todos tenemos derecho de pensar y opinar diferentes.

The story is about Cairo Sweet a girl who lives alone at eighteen years old because her parents are lawyers and live traveling to various parts of the world, besides living in a bland town where almost nothing good happens, only literature becomes her comfort zone between loneliness and boredom. Life becomes a little more interesting when her best friend Winnie recommends her the creative writing classes of Professor Jonathan Miller who despite living there, was a published author although Cairo already knew that because he had read his book, since then a bond is formed between the two ranging from admiration, sexual attraction and loneliness of course the film goes beyond that.

La historia va de Cairo Sweet una chica la cual vive sola a sus dieciocho años ya que sus padres son abogados y viven viajando a varias partes del mundo, además vivir en un pueblo insípido donde casi pasa nada bueno, solo la literatura llega a ser su zona de confort entre la soledad y el aburrimiento. La vida se vuelve un poco más interesante cuando su mejor amiga Winnie le recomienda las clases de escritura creativa del profesor Jonathan Miller que a pesar de vivir ahí, era un autor publicado aunque eso Cairo ya lo sabía porque había leído su libro, desde entonces se forma un vínculo entre los dos que va desde admiración, atracción sexual y soledad claro está que la película va más allá que eso.

Really when I started the film I was going with all the intention of funalar, for feeding pederasty and pedophilia (of the film), the actors both are of age professionals who know what they are doing so they are that I do not get involved. I thought I was going to find Lolita 2.0 plus but on the contrary I saw a film based more than anything in the art of the word, something I heartily advise you not to see this film dubbed into any language (in my case Spanish) as the narration of Jenna Ortega in different parts of the film is exquisite I could say that even sensual thing that I liked a lot from beginning to end.

Realmente cuando comencé la película iba con toda la intención de funalar, por alimentar la pederastia y pedofilia (de la película), los actores ambos son mayores de edad profesionales que saben que están haciendo así que son eso no me meto. Creía que iba a encontrarme con Lolita 2.0 plus pero todo lo contrario vi una filmación basada más que todo en el arte de la palabra, algo que les aconsejo de corazón no se vean esta esta película doblada a ningún idioma (en mi caso español) ya que la narración de Jenna Ortega en diferentes partes de la película es exquisita podría decirse que hasta sensual cosa que me agrado mucho de principio a fin.

En termino de si está bien o no está bien lo que sucede en la película habría que analizar primero las circunstancias de todo (no justifico), es bizarro desde un principio ver un acercamiento intimo entre personas de una diferencia de edad bastante pronunciada pero el hecho de que Cairo sea la menor entre los dos le da una gran responsabilidad ha Miller de lo sucedido, aquí podemos ver a dos adolescentes en este caso Cairo y Winnie quien por obvias razones quieren explorar su sexualidad pero les llama la atención profesores que si bien deberían ser más responsables y sensatos que ellas.

The characters are quite dysfunctional, first of all Cairo is a teenager who is growing up alone without a father figure to advise and care for her, she lives reading literature that most of the time is erotic and she emphasizes several times that she feels alone...she finds in her teacher a mature figure (which she admires by the way) getting interest from him, she does not know what love is but maybe so much reading about it makes her want to look for it in places that she was not going to get it. On the other hand we have a frustrated writer, who left the world of letters because of the criticism of his book, in a marriage in which his wife is constantly ridiculing him and making him less obviously when someone comes to flatter you and make you feel good about yourself you pay more interest than you should, he took several steps for that intimate approach to happen ... and it's not right.

Los personajes son bastantes disfuncionales, en primer lugar Cairo es una adolecente que se está criando sola sin una figura paternal que la asesore y cuide, vive leyendo literatura que la mayor parte del tiempo es erótica además de recalcar varias veces que se siente sola…encuentra en su profesor una figura madura (la cual admira por cierto) consiguiendo interés de parte él, ella no sabe que es el amor pero tal vez tanto leer de aquello hace querer buscarlo en lugares que no lo iba a conseguir. Por otro lado tenemos un escritor frustrado, que dejo el mundo de las letras por las críticas que le hicieron a su libro, en un matrimonio en el cual constantemente su esposa lo vive ridiculizando y haciéndolo menos obviamente cuando viene alguien alagarte y hacerte sentir bien contigo mismo le prestas más interés de lo deberías, el dio varios pasos para que ese acercamiento intimo se diera…y no está bien.

I like as a lover of books the way in which the script is written, I enjoyed a lot especially the scenes narrated by Ortega in addition to the scenery seemed beautiful, I thought the scene was well executed to the point that I found it erotic instead of vulgar Cairo's mansion is another work well executed felt a pretty essence of art work in addition to the eroticism is made to see without the need for more than two scenes that if you saw the movie you will know what they are, mainly the scene where Miller reads Cairo's story I feel that was the climax of the film and also one of the scenes that I liked the most, leaving the viewer to think about what really happened between the two and the desire of the teacher towards his student.

Me gusta como amante de los libros la forma en la que está escrita el guion, disfrute mucho sobre todo las escenas narradas por Ortega además que la escenografía me parecía hermosa, la escena subida de tono me pareció bien ejecutada a tal punto que me pareció erótica en vez de vulgar la mansión de Cairo es otra obra bien ejecutado sentía una esencia bastante de obra de arte además de que el erotismo se hace ver sin la necesidad de que haya más de dos escenas que si viste la película sabrá cuales son, principalmente la escena donde Miller lee el relato de Cairo siento que ese fue el Climax de la película además de una de la que me gusto más, dejando al pensamiento del espectador en realidad que paso entre los dos y el deseo del profesor hacia su alumna.

I feel like this kind of movie is not for everyone, for closed minded people I think not, it has that taboo of age but that connection of the words, the ecstasy of reading prose and being able to see. I felt like I was reading a book and that was an amazing thing I would give it an 8/10.

Siento que este tipo de película no es para todo el mundo, para las personas de mente cerrada creo que no, tiene ese tabú de la edad pero esa conexión de las palabras, el éxtasis de leer prosa y poder ver. Sentía que leía un libro y eso fue algo asombroso le daría un 8/10.
