Wish: The Power of Wishes (Review)

Hello dear community, I hope you are doing well. Personally, it has been an exhausting and sad week for me (I don't have a cell phone) which has made my classes and different activities difficult, so when I got home, I just wanted to watch a movie to disconnect from the world by choosing Wish the power of desires and that's how I realized that it was not my week.

Hola querida comunidad, espero se encuentren muy bien. En lo personal han sido días agotadores para mí y triste (no tengo celular) cosa que me ha dificultado mis clases y diferentes actividades por ello cuando llegue a mi casa, solo quería ver una película para desconectar del mundo eligiendo Wish el poder de los deseos y en definitiva así me di de cuenta que no era mi semana.

As we know Disney last year turned 100 years old, which I'm glad, because as a child I loved all the movies they released, from Disney princesses to their series with the stars we know today. Disney is synonymous with childhood for many and obviously something nice was expected to celebrate its 100 years, but we found something bland and little worked.

Como sabemos Disney el año pasado cumplió 100 años cosa que me alegro, porque como toda niña amaba todas las películas que sacaban desde la de princesas Disney, hasta sus series con las estrellas que conocemos hoy en día. Disney en sinónimo de infancia para muchos y obviamente que se esperaba algo bonito para celebrar sus 100 años, pero nos encontramos con algo soso y poco trabajado.

When I went to the movies to see Barbie in the commercial they showed Wish and I liked it, I really expected something a little bit like Enchantment, a good work made by Disney that showed love but instead I feel that it was like they remembered the 100 years shortly after and did something in a hurry, thank God I did not go to see it in the theater but I waited until it was on Disney plus.

Cuando fui al cine a ver a Barbie en la propaganda que pasan antes pasaron la de Wish y me gusto, la verdad esperaba algo un poco al estilo de Encanto una buena obra hecha por Disney que demostrara amor pero en vez de eso siento que fue tipo se acordaron de los 100 años al poco tiempo e hicieron algo apresurado, gracias a Dios no fui a verla en cine si no espere a que estuviera en Disney plus.

The story is about Asha a girl who lives on a remote island known as the Kingdom of Roses that long ago was founded by Magnifico a king who keeps the deepest wishes of the people promising his people that he would fulfill them in due time, she is a fan of him wanting to be his apprentice sorceress but it turns out that when she had the opportunity, she realized that Magnifico fulfills the wishes at his convenience.

La historia se trata de Asha una chica que vive en un isla remota conocida como el Reino de las Rosas que hace mucho fue fundada por Magnifico un rey el cual guarda los deseos más profundos de las personas prometiéndole a su pueblo que los cumpliría en su debido momento, ella es fanática de él queriendo ser su aprendiz a hechicera pero resulta que cuando tuvo la oportunidad, se dio de cuenta que Magnifico cumple los deseos a su conveniencia.

Bueno, en realidad me sentí estafada. Algo que de entrada y sin Tabú les diré que me desagrado mucho la mezcla hibrida de animación 2d y 3d que utilizaron en esta historia, parecía que no tenían presupuestos porque muchos de los escenarios están mal hecho, a veces me quedaba mirando el fondo cuestionándome muchas cosas en vez de prestarle atención a lo que decía los personajes, otra cosa que me parece muy ñe fueron las canciones no tienen ese click que tienen las típicas canciones de Disney como Frozen o Encanto, en esta son sinceramente olvidables.

Well, actually I felt ripped off. Something that from the beginning and without Taboo I will tell you that I really disliked the hybrid mix of 2d and 3d animation that they used in this story, it seemed that they had no budget because many of the scenarios are poorly done, sometimes I kept looking at the background questioning many things instead of paying attention to what the characters said, another thing that I find very ñe were the songs do not have that click that have the typical Disney songs like Frozen or Enchantment, in this are sincerely forgettable.

On the other hand the argument of the wishes is like the redeemable of the film and I feel that it is poorly executed, on the one hand it is very bad the fact that the people do not fight for their wishes but instead it is easier for them to give it to someone else to fulfill it is like wanting what you want to come from heaven. On the other hand the issue that yes it is true, many people can wish for dangerous things but that does not give the Magnificent the right to decide what they do and what they don't since no one should have power over our dreams.

Por otro lado el argumento de los deseos es como lo rescatable de la película y siento que está mal ejecutado, por un lado está muy mal el hecho de que el pueblo no luche por sus deseos si no que en vez de ello les resulte más fácil dárselo a alguien más para que se los cumpla es como querer que venga del cielo lo que deseas. Por otro lado el tema de que si es verdad, muchas personas pueden desear cosas peligrosas pero eso no le da el derecho al Magnifico de decidir que sí y que no ya que nadie debería tener poder sobre nuestros sueños.

The characters seem very empty to me, Asha is a bit stubborn and I feel that she does things crazy, I didn't like her as a main character, Magnifico had the potential to get a good plot and story and they wasted it because of laziness, the other people are very flat, even the goat seems very insipid to me, the only thing the star that seems super tender and to a certain point it seemed to me a plagiarism of Mario Bros.

Los personajes me parecen muy vacíos, Asha es alguien un poco testaruda y siento que hace las cosas a lo loco no me gusto como protagonista, Magnifico tenia potencial para sacarle un buen argumento además de historia lo desaprovecharon por perezas, los demás personas son bien planos, incluso la cabra me parece muy insípida, lo único la estrella que me parece super tierna y hasta cierto punto me pareció plagio de Mario Bros.

The winks to traditional Disney movies were a small plus because there are things that I did like like like the musical with the animals, the book cameo at the beginning but nothing else...the ending seemed ridiculous and didn't inspire me at all, I know I should follow my dreams but this movie doesn't motivate me to do it, actually this is a 4/10.

Los guiños hacia las películas de Disney tradicionales fueron un plus pequeño porque hay cosas que si me gustaron como el musical con los animales, el cameo de libro al comienzo pero más nada…el final me pareció ridículo y no me inspiro nada, sé que debo seguir mis sueños pero esa película no me motiva a ello en realidad esto es un 4/10.
