I just rewatched the og Gladiator yesterday. I tried watching the sequel recently but just didn't feel as compelling; although, I wasn't playing close attention.

The first one, on the other hand, seizes my attention with the force of a Praetorian guard! It's a phenomenal film. Think I am going to give Gladiator II another chance after reading your review. Thanks!

I believe watching it again after the original really enhanced the experience. I do agree the shark scene seemed outrageous. Would say that my initial impression still stands but I did enjoy how the stories tied together.
