Autumn's Concerto -- a heartwarming Taiwanese drama

I am really into Korean Drama, Japanese Drama, and some Chinese/Taiwanese Drama series. These are mostly the kinds of TV series I like to watch. Then one day, I happened to see this Taiwanese TV series on Netflix entitled "Autumn's Concerto".

My attention was caught by the male lead star because he is very familiar to me. He is one of the members of Asia's popular boy band "F4" or "Fantastic Four". He is also one of the lead stars of a very well-known Taiwanese TV series, "Meteor Garden," which was aired in the Philippines in 2003 and became a phenomenon, and that made me interested in watching this "Autumn's Concerto" as well.

This follows the story of Ren Guang Xi (portrayed by Vanness Wu), a seemingly perfect but lonely law student and ice hockey player, and Liang Mu Cheng, a passionate and determined bento seller at his school canteen. ( which role was portrayed by Ady An Yi-xuan) Their lives intertwined after a bet led to romance.
But then, a sudden tragedy occured. Guang Xi needed to undergo major brain surgery, resulting in memory loss. Guang Xi and Mu Cheng also lost connection because of his mother.

Years went by, and Mu Cheng lived a quiet life in a rural village with her cute and adorable son Xiao Le.

Guang Xi, on the other hand, became a prestigious lawyer but still couldn't remember his memories with Mu Cheng.

However, they were fated to reconnect when Guang Xi became a lawyer in one of the properties in the rural village, but still without the memory of Mu Cheng.

This is really a great story. It shows the values of advocacy, love, faith, and loyalty. In addition, the importance of the family was weaved throughout the series in a natural way. I'm deeply happy that I decided to watch this series because of the Lead actor, Vanness Wu. He has such a presence on screen with his undeniably intense and passionate performance.

The "Leading Lady" also showed how a strong woman can manage adversity with grace. The rest of the characters were also really great. There's never a dull moment in this series.

One thing's for sure, my heart was stolen by this cute, smart, and so adorable little boy Xiao Xiao. At a very young age, he is such a good actor that can capture your heart. Though this series is not only focusing on drama, some comedic scenes balanced the story too.

That's why I highly recommend this. This is truly a gem that will stay in your thoughts and heart for years or even for a lifetime.
