The Secret World of Arrietty (another amazing Studio Ghibli film)
Hello everyone! π
I'm here again to share my opinion or review of the beautiful story from another Studio Ghibli film, The Secret World of Arrietty".

Source
It follows the story of a tiny "borrower" named Arrietty and her family, who secretly lived under the floorboards of a typical household. They're called "borrowers" because they "borrow" items from humans to survive.

Arrietty's adventurous nature led her to meet Sho. He is a human boy suffering from a heart condition and is staying with his great-aunt in their ancestral house. Eventually, he and Arrietty became friends; however, befriending Sho also put Arrietty's family secret at risk.

The film explores themes of belonging, the challenges of living in a world that isn't meant for them, and the importance of understanding and acceptance between humans and otherkins or beings.

This fantasy film is absolutely beautiful in its own way; it's soft, subtle, tranquil and heartwarming. Arrietty's family and Sho's struggles can really touch your heart. They gave us messages of courage, resilience and the strength of familial bonds.
The animation is also amazing, with so many lovely colors and beautiful scenery, such as vibrant nature, an overgrown garden, a haven for the "borrowers," and some other mesmerizing scenery that can capture both your vision and your soul.

You would also love and adore "Niya," Sho's pet cat, who chased Arrietty at first but later befriended her as well. At the end of the story, Niya did a great job, too.
So, I highly recommend this film to those who haven't watched it yet. Though I've already watched it years ago, I decided to rewatch it. It still captured my heart the same way it did the first time I watched it. No wonder Studio Ghibli always reached everyone's hearts.
I'll end my post here. Thank you so much for reading.
God bless everyone! ππ

I love this movie it's very adorable, even if the ending wasn't what I wanted, it was cute. Very nice post
Same here...I really want Arrietty and Sho together...heheh, and I want to know how was Sho's surgery went through. But I guess it was a successful operation though.
The storyline looks interesting and curious enough for me! I've not watched any Studio Ghibli anime yet, despite so many times I've heard amazing reviews on their anime productions.
This is one of my favorite movies. Who didn't want to have little friends as tiny as these? It was a wonderful movie, one of the ones I enjoyed the most, but it's a pity that ShΕ and her had to be separated.
Yes I agree, I'm a bit disappointed too that Arrietty and Sho's story ended with them apart. I wish they had found a way to stay together. It would have been so much better. But overall, I really love and enjoyed the movie. β€
