What would it have been like to have your own humanoid robot? You get to experience that in this film directed by Drew Hancock, it is a fascinating mix of sci-fi, thriller and dark comedy.😃
The film is about Iris, played by Sophie Thatcher who is a robot designed as your perfect partner. Her boyfriend Josh played by Jack Quaid has his life turned upside down when she discovers what she is. The film takes a dark turn and ends with an intense cat and mouse hunt. I thought the acting performances were good and convincing. I liked the film, it was a positive surprise, a psychological thriller with sci-fi elements and future AI and human relationships. This gets a rating of 7.
