Big Fat Liar
The first time I saw this movie I was very young and didn't understand the full plot of the movie at the time, but I still found it very interesting and had a great time watching it. Then the second time I watched the movie I was still young, but at least this time I was smart enough to understand what the movie was about and It made me even enjoy it more. Recently, I came across the title somewhere and it evoked so much nostalgia within me that I decided I had to talk about it tonight.
PLOT
Jason Sheperd, who is neither big nor fat Is known by everyone to be a notorious liar. He lies to his parents and his teachers constantly, it is so easy for him to come up with lies In a split second. One day on his way to school he bumps into a famous Hollywood Producer Marty Wolf (literally), Marty takes him to school in his car and there he forgets his assignment.
Meanwhile, Marty wolf sees the assignment, likes the story in the assignment and decides to make a movie based on that story, Big Fat Liar. The movie is a big hit and makes him lots of money.
Jason tells everyone about the incident, but obviously, no one believes him. He'd been lying so much for such meagre stuff, that no one was going to believe him when he said something so bizarre. Marty Wolf also refuses to give him credit so he is frustrated. He decides he's going to get people to know the truth one way or another, and that is by making Marty Wolf's life a living hell.
MY THOUGHTS
There's a lot of unrealistic stuff in this movie, but that can be expected with this type of movie. I think it falls under the Home Alone or the Problem Child type of movie, but this one actually has an underlying lesson (lying is bad). It shows one of the biggest consequences of being a chronic liar. No one will trust you again and everything you say will be a lie to them. I think that message was passed across very well, and even a kid smart enough to follow the storyline would get that.
Other than that though the movie is funny. The things that happen in the movie are just so comical that they keep you laughing for most of it. Not to mention that you find yourself rooting for Jason to teach Marty Wolf a big lesson and clear his name. I remember watching them and thinking
"When will Marty Wolf have enough and finally crack and reveal the truth that the storyline isn't his intellectual property?"
Well if you want to find out you'll have to watch the movie (if you haven't already seen it). It was quite popular, and It was a great movie in my opinion, though for some reason it didn't receive very good reviews on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes (I am not sure if they mixed the reviews with the part 2 which I didn't see because there was absolutely no need for a second part). I would rate this an 8.5/10. I recommend it to anyone who's bored and just wants to watch something silly that doesn't require too much common sense to enjoy.

Am a big fan of this movie
This movie is one of my favorites, the young actor who participates here is a genius at acting and the style of humor he has is unique and makes it quite entertaining. This is one of those comedy movies that I grew up with and I'm very nostalgic for it.
Good review.
