I have always been a lover of marvel movies and this one is no different. This is one of those movies that was quite popular when it came out, but as I often find myself doing I didn't see it. Today I was looking for a boost and I remembered I had in on my PC, it's a two hour watch so I figured why not watch it.

PLOT

We start off with Dr strange and a young lady and we eventually find out her name is America Chavez, running from a demon in some other dimension. They're trying to get some ancient book from there because it's the only thing that can help them defeat the monster and stop it from taking Chavez's power. Unfortunately, the monster kills Dr Strange and just as it's about to take Chavez's power and kill her she opens a portal to another dimension and drags herself and Steven Strange through it.

This dimension she got sucked into is the one with the Steven Strange we're familiar with. They find each other and he promises to keep her safe from whatever is after her. He notices there are traces of witchcraft in whatever is chasing her and decides to seek help from Wanda aka Scarlet Witch. Unfortunately for him, he realises Scarlet is the one who is after her. Now he has to keep her safe from the Scarlet Witch.

MY THOUGHTS

Where do I begin with this one? There are so many things I like about this movie. First of all, it is a Marvel movie so you can be rest assured the money spent on production is insane. There are a lot of unconventional and crazy scenes that just leave you wondering just how much was spent to make it look this good. The answer is 414.9 million dollars. Can't tell if it is worth it, but the movie scenes are eyecatching that is for sure. Acting and all that is good as well, typical stuff you'd expect from a marvel movie, top rated actors.

The movie managed to keep my attention from the beginning to the end. The storyline was good. Nothing over the top, and not some masterpiece that may never be forgotten like end game, but it's just enough.

In the movie, I got to see just how powerful the Scarlet Witch is. I am not a Marvel geek who follows all the comics and the lore, but I am more of a casual watcher. However, I have heard a lot about how powerful Scarlet Witch is. In the other movies, we see a little bit of it, but in this one, she was an absolute beast. She did some crazy things I didn't know she could do and even though she was the villain it was still cool to watch.

One thing I didn't like though was Scarlet Witch's motive. It seemed so simple and so dumb in a way. I won't say it so as not to spoil it, but that part just felt so cringe and forced. I do get it though, it wasn't easy to find a reason why she would suddenly turn evil so they had to create something.

Other than that small ick, it was a pretty top film. I enjoyed watching it. I recommend watching if you like action adventure movies and need something to see. Giving it an 8.5/10
