I am not a Christian activist, neither am I a die hard church-goer, but whenever I see a good movie, I know one, and most often, American Christian dramas has always been interesting to me, especially, considering the fact that they portray realistic events and do not overburden the movies with elements pertaining to the christian faith.

Some of the greatest of all time (GOAT) for me, are:

1-Fireproof

2-War Room

and 3-God's Not Dead 2: We The People

These are my favourite movies, and unlike in my previous post about a Nigerian movie, these movies are highly recommended by me. So, I am adding no disclaimer or warning here. They are basically neutral and just life-events-based in nature. Aside from the bias of being a Christian-faith-based movie, there is nothing too controversial about them. So, I recommend them.

But if I must pick one, I would like to watch with my friends first, "God's Not Dead 2". Trust me, it's in no way the best of the three, but it addresses a social issue that is currently brewing in the West and soon, would be a global issue - that of government/policy makers dictating parenting.

Each and everyone of us that are currently parents, or future parents would have to deal with these issues. Would you allow your child join in a gay-rights match? Would you allow the government dictate what's best for your child? Would you allow the government replace your role as a parent? How much can you trust your child in the hands of corrupt politicians and uncultured lawmakers?

There is a lot of lessons to be learnt (and maybe unlearned). So, grab your popcorn, and a footstool, let's watch together 😂.
