Ever lived in a place and you felt like things were too good to be true. Well you are not alone. Welcome to the kingdom of Rosas, a seemingly peacefully and happy Kingdom but with an undertone of disatisfaction and unachievement. A place that looks like a dream but steals the dreams of its people.

Then here comes a young seventeen year old girl named Asha who is aspiring to become King Magnifico's apprehentice. You see in Rosas, citizens have to give up the memory of their dreams, handing it over to King Magnifico, ruler of Rosas alongside his wife queen Amaya, in exchange for the tranquility and security they enjoy in Rosas. He holds a ceremonial event once a month where he grants just one wish to one citizen.

Well here's where the problem began. Asha's grandfather would be 100years old on the same day as the ceremonial event and Asha hoped that King Magnifico would grant his wish.... because he has waited a long time for it. She requests this during her interview with Magnifico who refuses outrightly, claiming her grandfather's wish to be dangerous to the kingdom.

Sensing foul play, Asha decides to take matters into her own hands especially after her revelation about Magnifico is met with unbelief. She sets out into the forest and makes a wish to a star on the night of her birthday. In response, a fallen star appears to her while also granting life like qualities to the forest and even Asha's pet goat....valentino.

Sensing a threat to his power and throne, king Magnifico sets out to capture star for himself by using "dark magic". He eventually succeeds but the resilience of Asha and the now enlightened citizens of Rosas, saved the day, proving that as long as a dream can be held onto, nothing can steal it away from the heart.

King Magnifico met his doom while kind queen Amaya ruled Rosas, helping its citizens to achieve their dreams.

What I learnt and why this movie is my favourite

Wow, this movie to me was intense and filled with passion. It made me realize that our dreams and aspirations are in our own hands to bring it to fruition and not in the hands of anyone.

So many people are waiting on their friends, their relatives and even their government to bring their dreams to pass. Whereas, they've got the power in themselves to make that dream come alive.

I also learnt not to be afraid of anyone who might "doubt" my dream or say that it's too dangerous. Naysayers can't stop my dream as long as I believe in it too much to let it die.

I coukd tell that there is a lesson in it for any age bracket. You might be young, in your mid thirties or forties, you might feel old or even be old with an unachieved dream but as long as you don't give up on your dream and work towards it, then it will come alive.

Dreams are never old.

My young daughter is already dreaming big things and I can't wait to see them materialize. I am teaching her not to be swayed by anything and for her to envision better things in her future. Plus this animated movie is always a good lesson booster for those times I need to enlighten her. It's our favourite and the cinematography is eye catching too.

One more thing, get tired of the status quo. Be dissatisfied with just the ordinary and dare for something more than this!

I leave you all with the best part of the movie , so I make this wish. Watch and feel the passion.

I promise that you would find every bit of wish enjoyable. Go watch it now if you haven't 😜.

Thank you all for reading and viewing. This is my participation into the #cinetvcontest. Feel free to participate here

When wil I start watching these animated movies again? This one is very good and a must watch.
I like Asha's character - an intelligent, strong willed and brave girl who defied all odds to make her wish come alive.

There are lots of lessons to be learnt from this movie, just like this one;

Dreams are never old.

Nothing, not even one's age can make a dream old. Anyone can achieve their dreams at whatever age, and when they're ready.

This was a good read, sis.

You are right, we all have the power to bring our dreams into fruition

I like the first standard of the music already, "how can you tell me to sit when I have already started running"

Am going to put it in my daughter's movie watchlist
