3 Horror Films I Like (ENG/SPA)
Hello, Internet people, today I want to talk to you about 3 horror films that I like and that although they manage a kind of simplicity, they have other quite remarkable resources that end up giving very good results as a whole. However, to keep the simplicity of this post, I will refer mainly to their story and plot when recommending them.
Hola, gente de Internet, hoy quiero hablarles de 3 películas de terror que me gustan y que aunque manejan una especie de simpleza, tienen otros recursos bastante destacables que terminan dando muy buenos resultados en conjunto. Sin embargo, para mantener la simpleza de este post, me referiré más que todo a su historia y trama a la hora de la recomendación.
Hereditary
This film tells us about the life of a family, which is in mourning for the death of the grandmother (mother of the matriarch of the family) and after an accident that leads to the death of one of the children, strange events begin to occur around the family and everything seems to indicate that what seemed random events end up being paranormal.
Esta película nos cuenta la vida de una familia, la cual está de luto por la muerte de la abuela (madre de la matriarca de la familia) a raíz de esto y tras un accidente que acarrea la muerte de uno de los hijos, sucesos extraños comienzan a ocurrir en torno a la familia y todo parece indicar que lo que parecían eventos random terminan siendo paranormales
I like this film not only for having a plot similar to others, but worked in a quite original way, but it also has a good handling of terror and a very good cinematography, the director uses resources similar to those of James Wan (one of my favourite directors) where he uses resources like easter egg so that the spectator wants to return the film to observe if what he thought he saw was what it was, it is very funny and terrifying to discover them.
Me gusta esta cinta no solo por tener una trama similar a otras, pero trabajada de una forma bastante original, sino que también tiene un buen manejo del terror y una muy buena fotografía, el director usa recursos parecidos a los de James Wan (uno de mis directores preferidos) donde usa recursos como easter egg para que el espectador quiera devolver la cinta para observar si lo que creyó ver era lo que era, es muy divertido y aterrador descubrirlos.
Midsommar
This psychological horror film has a plot about cults (already exploited before), but like the films in this top, it approaches it from a very particular point of view. A group of friends go to the village of one of them in Sweden, when they arrive they discover that there is apparently a cult in the village, which at first seems harmless, but as time goes by they realise that the rites of the cult are not what they seem, which leads them to consider the idea of escaping.
Esta película de terror psicológico tiene un trama acerca de sectas (ya explotada antes) que sin embargo y tal como las películas de este top, la aborda desde un punto de vista muy particular. Un grupo de amigos va al pueblo de uno de ellos en Suecia, al llegar descubren que al parecer hay una secta en el pueblo, la cual en un principio parece inofensiva, con el pasar del tiempo se van dando cuenta de que los ritos de esa secta no son lo que parecen, lo cual los lleva a plantearse la idea de escapar.
Mainly the handling of horror is very good as it was directed by the same director of Hereditary, who left us some easter eggs in the film, on the other hand he didn't use darkness as a horror resource, but most of his scenes are in broad daylight.
Principalmente el manejo del terror es muy bueno ya que fue dirigida por el mismo director de Hereditary, el cual nos dejó algunos easter eggs dentro del film, por otra parte él no usó la oscuridad como recurso de terror, sino que la mayoría de sus escenas son a plena luz del día.
La abuela/The grandmother
A model is called in for an emergency, her grandmother has had a stroke and now requires 24/7 care, cutting short her dream of participating in a modelling project, but when she arrives at her grandmother's house she realises that all is not what it seems, she is hiding something shady.
Una modelo es llamada por una emergencia, su abuela tuvo un ataque y ahora requiere de cuidados 24/7, truncando su sueño de participar en un proyecto de modelaje, pero cuando llega a la casa de su abuela se da cuenta de que no todo es lo que parece, ella esconde algo turbio.
This film makes good use of horror, focusing on the cinematography, which is quite good, with interesting shots that increase the terror, its plot has a twist that you don't expect at the end even though there are clues throughout the film.
Esta película hace un buen uso del terror, enfocándose en la fotografía, la cual es bastante buena, con planos interesantes que incrementan el terror, su trama tiene un giro que no te esperas al final a pesar de que haya pistas durante todo el film.
