Review of the Peruvian film Isla Bonita. [ENG-ESP]
Visitando Netflix con mi familia, decidimos ver esta película de comedia que es recomendada para mayores de 13 años, ideal para ver con toda la familia. Es una película peruana con una trama bastante sencilla, sobre tres amigas que después de algunos problemas matrimoniales y profesionales deciden hacer un viaje a Iquitos en la selva amazónica, ya que una de ellas tiene la idea de visitar una laguna donde sus padres se tomaron una foto años atrás, antes de fallecer.
Cuando llegan a la selva conocen a su guía turístico, un personaje muy simpático, con una forma de hablar muy particular y con grandes sueños y aspiraciones.
Visiting Netflix with my family, we decided to watch this comedy movie that is recommended for ages 13 and older, ideal to watch with the whole family. It is a Peruvian movie with a fairly simple plot, about three friends who after some marital and professional problems decide to take a trip to Iquitos in the Amazon jungle, as one of them has the idea of visiting a lagoon where her parents took a picture years ago, before they passed away.
When they arrive in the jungle they meet their tour guide, a very nice character, with a very particular way of speaking and with big dreams and aspirations.
En este viaje de redescubrimiento, Andrea, Esperanza y Roxana conocerán a nuevas personas que les ayudarán a encontrar la paz y la tranquilidad que han estado buscando en sus vidas, también encontrarán respuestas tras dudar de los caminos que han tomado y también conectarán con la naturaleza a través de los bellos paisajes que se presentan a lo largo de la película.
Una película con algunos diálogos y situaciones divertidas, y otras que en ocasiones pueden resultar bastante forzadas, como también se puede apreciar en la interpretación de los actores. Aunque no es una mala película, se puede considerar de baja calidad, tanto en las actuaciones como en el montaje de las escenas.
In this journey of rediscovery, Andrea, Esperanza and Roxana will meet new people who will help them find the peace and tranquility they have been searching for in their lives, they will also find answers after doubting the paths they have taken and they will also connect with nature through the beautiful landscapes presented throughout the film.
A film with some funny dialogues and situations, and others that can sometimes be quite forced, as can also be seen in the performance of the actors. Although it is not a bad movie, it can be considered of low quality, both in the performances and in the editing of the scenes.
Lo que me gustaría rescatar de esta película son los paisajes, ya que se desarrolla en la selva amazónica concretamente en un complejo turístico con un calendario de actividades que van desde un paseo en barco por el río Amazonas, visita a tribus indígenas y zoológico con animales autóctonos de la zona, jardín botánico donde incluso los espectadores podían aprender los usos de las plantas medicinales y un balneario a orillas del Amazonas que literalmente parecía una playa.
Creo que más que la historia de estas tres mujeres, para mí fue más interesante aprender más sobre la selva amazónica, sus árboles y animales. Así que en resumen, la parte educativa de la película estaba bastante bien hecha si la idea era dar a conocer la zona, ya sea como parte de una estrategia para reactivar el turismo o como propaganda ecologista que te enseña a valorar el gran pulmón del planeta.
What I would like to rescue from this film are the landscapes, since it takes place in the Amazon jungle specifically in a tourist complex with a calendar of activities ranging from a boat ride on the Amazon River, visit to indigenous tribes and zoo with animals native to the area, botanical garden where even viewers could learn the uses of medicinal plants and a spa on the banks of the Amazon that literally looked like a beach.
I think that more than the story of these three women, for me it was more interesting to learn more about the Amazon rainforest, its trees and animals. So in summary, the educational part of the film was quite well done if the idea was to make the area known, either as part of a strategy to reactivate tourism or as environmentalist propaganda that teaches you to value the great lung of the planet.
En cuanto al final podemos encontrar un mensaje de amistad, unión y decisiones valientes, que también podemos llegar a ver en otras películas del mismo estilo, puedo decir que me reí en algunas situaciones y conversaciones en las que me sentí identificada. Aunque la película es sencilla, cumple su función de entretener a toda la familia, aunque no somos tan exigentes con nuestros gustos, todos quedamos satisfechos.
As for the end we can find a message of friendship, union and brave decisions, which we can also get to see in other films of the same style, I can say that I laughed in some situations and conversations in which I felt identified. Although the film is simple, it fulfills its function of entertaining the whole family, although we are not so demanding with our tastes, we were all satisfied.

Bueno, al menos parece una película sana para que vean los más pequeños hoy. Eso parece ser un bien escaso. Sin duda, sacarle partido al entorno natural es una buena decisión, en vista del bajo presupuesto que quizás contaron. Nunca he visto una película de ese país. Ya veremos. Saludos @beysyd
Eso sí, es una película familiar para ver solo para el entretenimiento de todos.
No soy amante de las comedias, intente verla pero no pude jajaja, sin embargo he leído acerca de ella en tu reseña. Por lo que dices es una película para pasar el rato y entretenerse un poco, para relajarse.
Totalmente, no debes tener muchas expectativas porque es solo una película sencilla para que pueda ver toda la familia.
