New York Comic Con 2024 COSPLAY ~ Friday Part 2 (Found Em!)
I must have spotted a dozen or more Waldo’s trodding along around the con floor this year at the 2024 New York Comic Con. Always a hit with the passerby’s. So with us finally putting an end to figuring out where our dear Red & White striped shirt friend is hiding, we can now jump into peeping out some of the other super duper badass works of costumed art.
Well, in a moment. First I’d like to give some quick background as to what you are looking at (for you 1st timers). This is the 4th installment showcasing the various cosplayers I was able to play paparazzi to at the best Pop Culture Convention on the East Coast, The New York Comic Con!
The past few years I’ve been a tad out of the scene after a decade plus of banging out multiple large shows across the country. Getting my feet wet again at NYCC was a fairly good feeling and well needed as I need to put more efforts back into this space for the coming year.
Regardless, one of my favorite parts (besides making bank) of exhibiting at these events is soaking in all of the creative costumes folks attend as. Theres always some good Harley Quinn’s & Deadpool’s, but I like seeing the oddball ones that I never even considered to be a prime cosplay candidate.

Ok, I think I’m roughly at my limit for today. I believe there are 2 more parts coming for Friday alone, let alone the rest of the weekend. So expect more of this if you are a fan, and if not…what the hell are you doing here?!? 😜

For some reason we have Wally rather than Waldo over here. Some amazing costumes, but I can't say I recognise them all. I've not been to one of these events, but I've passed near one and seen people dressed up.
Don’t feel too terrible. As someone who’s immersed in this world, I have no idea who half of them are either. Lol
The anime stuff and the web series cosplays are where I’m dumbfounded. My son was rattling off manes left & right as I sat like an idiot trying to figure em out.
Where’s Wally…Where’s Waldo. Eh…basically the same name. lol

At least I can recognise a few. There's just so many characters out there and some people like to go for something niche.
Yah, my son schooled me on who a bunch were as we were going over all the photos from the entire weekend. Surprisingly there were a bunch from various web series. Anime stuff is totally expected. I’m just not super knowledgeable on those. Game characters…superheroes…that’s my jam. Lol
I pick up some from my kids too. They like a bit of anime.
Outside of knowing specific characters due to selling toys of them, my knowledge of anime ends there. Definitely a weak spot.
