It has been a while since a movie has kept me interested and glued to my bed while watching it. This movie is called The Advent Calendar. There are several TV applications where you can watch Netflix, Prime Video, Magic TV ... I was browsing between one and another annoyed, when suddenly I saw its title and it caught my attention, because it sounded like Christmas ha, ha, ha, ha and although it is not Christmas time, I decided to start watching it, because I thought it would be at best a comedy, I really did not stop to see the brief review.

From the beginning I found it quite friendly, because what I saw was the routine life of a paraplegic girl, who was quite lonely until her birthday and that became more evident, then her friend arrived with a birthday surprise, until then everything was normal, even what followed ... when the birthday girl opened the gift, you could see a wooden house with many windows, exactly 24 boxes. Behind this little house there was a curious note, something like this: “if you throw me away, I'll kill you”; this seemed very funny to both girls. At that precise moment, my attention was sharpened, there I sensed that the film did not revolve around comedy....

From that moment on, the girl began to open each little window with a key that was guarding that curious house; when she opened each box she always brought a “gift”, which could be a chocolate with different shapes and each time she had to eat it, because from the beginning she brought her rules next to the first box she opened and they were to always eat what she found, open a window or box every day; read each indication and fulfill it, because if not she would be killed. At first, the girl thought they were just stories or some kind of a game, but soon she discovered that it was more serious than she thought...

One of the things that caught my attention the most was that a figure like a man came out of the house and spoke to her and reminded the girl just at 12 pm that she had to open another box. And so, every day, every time, very curious and paranormal things happened to the girl. Soon she discovered that this thing knew her most intimate desires, such as the wish that her father, suffering from Alzheimer's disease, would communicate with her, the wish to walk again and to have someone to love her. All these things were given to her as she complied each day, taking her to a higher and higher level of evil.

There was not a moment when I was bored, on the contrary, it kept me in constant tension, even until the end; each of its scenes was stronger than the other, full of absolute terror, suspense; I was really impressed by the quality of the plot and at the end it left me with a taste of bewilderment, a worthy ending for a film of this genre. So I recommend it 100% if you want to see something different in this genre. This is the movie. My greetings friends!

Tenía tiempo en que una película, no me mantenía interesada y pegada a mi cama mientras la veía. Esta película se llama El Calendario de Adviento. Hay varias aplicaciones de TV donde se puede ver Netflix, Prime Video, Magic Tv... yo me encontraba navegando entre una y otra fastidiada, cuando de repente vi su título y llamó la atención, porque me sonó a Navidad ja, ja, ja y aunque no es época navideña, decidí empezar a verla, pues pensé que sería a lo mejor de comedia, realmente no me detuve a ver la breve reseña.

Desde un inicio me pareció bastante amigable, pues lo que veía era la rutina de vida de una chica parapléjica, quien se mostraba bastante sola hasta que cumplió años y eso se hizo más evidente, luego su amiga llego con una sorpresa de cumpleaños, hasta ahí todo iba normal, incluso lo que siguió a continuación... cuando la cumpleañera abrió el regalo, se podía ver como una casa de madera con muchas ventanas, exactamente 24 casillas. Atrás de esta casita traía una curiosa nota, algo así: "si me botas, te mato"; esto le pareció muy divertido a ambas chicas. En ese preciso momento, mi atención se agudizó, allí intuí que la película no giraba en torno a la comedia...

Desde ese momento, la chica empezó a abrir cada ventanita con una llave que traía resguardada aquella curiosa casa; al abrir cada casilla siempre traía un "regalo", que podía ser un chocolate con diferentes formas y cada vez debía comerlo, pues de inicio traía sus reglas junto ala primera casilla que abrió y eran siempre comer lo que encontraba, abrir cada día una ventana o casilla; leer cada indicación y cumplirla, porque si no la mataría. Al principio, la chica pensó que eran cuentos o como especie de un juego, pero pronto descubrió que era más serio de lo que pensaba...

Una de las cosas que más llamó mi atención era que de la casa salía una figura como de un hombre que le hablaba y le recordaba a la chica justo a las 12 pm que debía abrir otra casilla. Y así, cada día, cada vez, le pasaban a la chica cosas muy curiosas y paranormales. Pronto descubrió, que esta cosa conocía sus deseos más íntimos, como el deseo de que su padre, enfermo de Alzheimer, se comunicara con ella, el deseo de volver a caminar y tener a alguien que la amara. Todas estas cosas le fueron dadas a medida que ella cumplía cada día con lo estipulado, llevándola cada vez a un nivel más alto de maldad.

No hubo un momento en que me aburriera, por el contrario, me mantuvo en constante tensión, incluso hasta que finalizo; cada una de sus escenas era más fuerte que la otra, llenas de absoluto terror, suspenso; en verdad me impresiono la calidad de la trama y al final me dejo con un sabor de desconcierto, digno final para una película de este género. Así es que la recomiendo al 100% si quieres ver algo diferente en este género. Esta es la película. Mis saludos amigos!
