This Series Got Me Psyched!
Wow… I guess this is the time for me to finally talk about the drama that has been bursting my brain for the past eight weeks now, and I just can’t stop getting it. I’ve always talked about how I didn’t play with my movies, to the point that even when my schedules are tight and cramped, I will always find a way to squeeze a movie into my day. Even if it’s just an episode from a series I’m watching. Due to my schedule, I am perfectly capable of watching just one episode per day and leaving it at that even though the other episodes are available. It builds the suspense for me and makes it more enjoyable. However, on Sundays when I have a little more time, I can splurge on more episodes or multiple films, depending on just how much time I have. Well, this week has been as choked as possible for me and as usual, I’ve been using dramas to relieve my stress. All the dramas I’m currently watching are being released periodically at the rate of one episode per week, and this way, I have a new episode from four different series each week. At the moment, I’m watching Power Book II: Ghost, Rabbithole, Citadel, and Gotham Knights and seeing as the topic demands that we talk about the most recent one I watched, I guess Power wins the lottery. I’ve always loved Power, right from when I watched the first season so many years ago. It told the story of a drug lord who ran a club and was looking to transition from a life of crime and go legit. But that series is over and it birthed three spinoffs, Book II: Ghost, Book III: Raising Kanan, and *Book IV: Force. Book II is currently airing and it’s in its third season. It tells the story of Ghost’s (Protagonist from the original Power) son and how he’s trying to run a drug business despite the hurdles of being a student and having the police breathing down his neck. The eight-episode dropped early this morning, and like the good fan that I am, I watched it this night. And I just have to confess, it’s a banger. For those of you who are also following it but are yet to watch the latest episode, I won’t be dropping spoilers. This particular season of Power has improved greatly because over its run they have managed to end each episode on a cliffhanger. It’s just been a roller coaster of events and crazy things just keep happening. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, sometimes I didn’t even know when I was shouting at the characters, wondering how they just didn’t get that they were being played. It was beautiful. Power is one series that I am a die-hard fan of. As in even if all the writers quit and the showrunners decide to employ newborn babies to continue the storyline, I will still watch it. I follow all the spin-offs judiciously and I just can’t get enough of them. I have so many favorite characters from the show, but in this particular season, there is one person that really makes me smile when he’s on the screen, and that is Rashad Tate played by Larenz Tate. This man is a dirty politician who will do anything just to get what he wants, and he and the main character Tariq have a symbiotic relationship where both are always gaining. Because with Tate, if he’s going to help you, know that it’s going to cost you! Of course, I can’t forget his catchy comebacks and funny banter. I’ll drop a snippet of a convo from the 4th episode that has stayed with me all these while: Tate: She’s investigating the murder of a Dante Spears, you know anything about that? Now, if you’ve not watched it, you will probably not understand it. But if you have, then you will find it just as funny as I did. Tate is really the king of comebacks and I’m enjoying him more here than when he was in OG Power. As it stands, I just can’t wait until next week for the next episode to drop, but there is no choice. And also, I know that there are other episodes coming up during the course of the week that will keep me company. And with the way this latest episode ended, next week will be fire! I’m really looking forward to it.

Tate: (Smiles in understanding) You heard of Bitcoin? Send the bread my niga.

As well as I can remember I haven't watched any web series after watching Game of Thrones. I don't know why but I made a list to watch some series but I was unable to start watching anyone of those. I am also adding this series to my list. I hope someday I will watch it.
Don't worry, these series are not going anywhere. When you have the time, you'll watch it.
Thank you for reading.
I haven't heard of the movie yet but I will be checking it out soon, thank you for not dropping any spoilers 😂.
I'm ashamed to say that I haven't watched power despite the fact that I have heard about it for several years now. I will try and watch it one of these days, but that will be after I'm done with the series I'm currently watching 😁
Omo... try and watch it biko... it's addictive! What series are you currently watching?
I'm currently watching scorpion and I'm almost done with it
Your post made me feel as though i am missing out on great movies. I watched just few episodes of power only because my sister was around then and she was a great fan.
This is a good read.
Hah... when you calm down to watch it, you'll get why it's so much fun!
Thank you for reading.
Hello there, Bruno.
I haven't seen this movie, but I've heard so much about it. I hope to see it soon.
Thanks for sharing.
Hi, Favour...
I hope you see it as well.
Hehehe... I've really heard a lot about this movie even when I was trying to finish up GOT...
It's a very good movie based on the way people talk about it
Yeah... correct
Any thoughts on Gotham Nights? I only watch Superman & Lois and might try Gotham Nights when I'm free.
It depends on what you're looing for. I don't find it fast-paced or greatly intriguing. But it's easygoing and can make for a good watch in the middle of the week, which is around the time it's released. You'll also enjoy it, but if you try to compare it to Superman and Lois, you might be disappointed.
Thank you for reading.
Thanks! Will give them a try when I have some free time.
Now I know that I am still on a long thing in terms of seeing dramas. I do not know about this movie, infact all the reviews I have seen here so far, I do not know any of them 😂😂
Suddenly lost interest in movies but I am motivated already to resume again. This drama sounds interesting and I love it more cos of the suspense
Be motivated ooo! Movies are bae! I especially love suspense, and anything that will keep me on the edge of my seat, I'm game.
Thank you for reading.
It seems you could not get enough of the series, enjoy yourself. If I start watching it now hope I won't be left behind lol...
You won't.
