Movie #30: Trap (7.3/10)

Trap is another M. Night Shyamalan movie and I would say that is a good bad movie. I always look forward to anythig Shyamalan releases as the main premise of his movies tend to be at least intrigueing while lately they also rarely are anything that special. This one is about a guy that goes to a concert with his doughter which turns out to be a trap to catch a Serial Killer which off course is him. I thought the trailer spoiled the whole movie but this wasn't really the case. I fully understand why many see this as a bad movie as the 'plot twists' aren't that impressive, the dialogue often isn't the best, there is a lot of singing from his daughter who isn't an actor while she takes up a major role in the 2nd part of the film. However, I enjoyed it for what it was going in with low expectations. So a movie doesn't have to be great for me to give it a decent score and this was certainly one of those.

Out of his latest movies I would rate it below knock at the cabin and above old. As usual nothing was wrong with the production value, the main actor, the plot I guess was ok but also nothing groundbreaking with many flaws in it. Obviously some of his other films like Unbreakable/split/glass/the village/... I liked way more but I'm still looking forward to the next one he comes up with. 7.3/10

Aside from watching a movie, I mainly focused on the football matches of the day which agains didn't really play out as I had hoped so it continues to be a struggle to actually make some money. At the same time, the season only started and I'm quite comfortable overall. I did eat too much making spaghetti one last time with an eye to make September into a solid month for my health and weightloss goals.

40-Day Weight Exercises


I aim to do some exercises daily on top of the hot yoga classes and make them add up over time. I still devide them in press, squat, Pull, Crunch, and Plank to work the entire body. I also will count my daily steps and aim to do 8k+ on average.

New Day Goals: The goal on Sunday is to only really eat a smoothie, do some weight exercises and focus on the football matches while maybe go on an evening walk if the weather allows it.
