It's my first time here and the reason for my start in this community is a movie that I saw yesterday and it left me completely fascinated! It had been a long time since any movie managed to completely captivate me.

That's why today we'll talk about "Marrowbone".

Es mi primera vez por aquí y la causante de mi inicio en esta comunidad es una película que he visto ayer y me ha dejado completamente fascinado! Hacía ya un largo tiempo que ninguna película lograba cautivarme por completo.

Es por eso que hoy hableremos sobre "Marrowbone".

The first point in favor that I find about this film is the great cast it has. We find a young but very talented cast of the moment.

The main cast is made up of George Mackay (from films like cCaptain fantastic, 1997 and Femme among others), Charlie Heaton (from films like < em>New Mutans, or from the very famous series Stranger things, among others), Mia Goth (from Nymphomaniac, Emma, among others), little Matthew Stagg (who despite being only 8 years old at the time of filming this film, his performance is impeccable), and my dearest Anya Taylor-joy (from great hits like The witch em>, Last night on Soho, Split, among many others), which despite having a secondary role in this film, never disappoints.

El primer punto a favor que le encuentro a este filme es el gran reparto con el que cuenta. Nos encontramos con un elenco joven pero muy talentoso del momento.

El cast principal está conformado por George Mackay (de películas como cCaptain fantastic, 1997 y Femme entre otras), Charlie Heaton (de películas como New Mutans, o de la famosísima serie Stranger things, entre otras), Mia Goth (de Nymphomaniac, Emma, entre otras), el pequeño Matthew Stagg (que a pesar de tener tan solo 8 años al momento de filmar esta película, su interpretación es impecable), y mi queridísima Anya Taylor-joy (de grandes éxitos como The witch, Last nigth on Soho, Split, entre tantos otros), que a pesar de tener un papel secundario en este film, nunca decepciona.

Set in the 60's, the film begins by introducing us to a family made up of a mother with her four children (Jack, Billy, Jane and Sam), who, fleeing from a disturbing and criminal past due to a sinister father, in England, come to live on a farm in United States, far enough away from the city so that no one can locate them. This mother, before dying, makes her eldest son (Jack) promise that he would take care of his younger brothers and that they would remain hidden until each one comes of age so that no one can separate them.

During his stay at the farm, he meets Allie, who will soon discover the dark secrets of this family.

That would be a fairly accurate summary without revealing spoilers, since this film is full of mysteries that would be revealed to us almost at the end and will make us understand everything perfectly, without gaps in the script or anything like that. In fact, the big secret is not something that our protagonists hide from us, in fact, they talk about it naturally throughout the entire episode, the problem is that we are never very sure what they are mentioning and when we think we have a somewhat clear idea, a good plot twist will blow our minds.

Ambientada en los años 60´s, la película comienza presentándonos a una familia integrada por una madre junto a sus cuatro hijos (Jack, Billy, Jane y Sam), que huyendo de un pasado perturbador y criminal por causa de un siniestro padre, en Inglaterra, llegan a habitar una granja en Estados Unidos, bastante apartada de la ciudad para que así nadie pueda localizarlos. Esta madre, antes de morir, le hace prometer a su hijo mayor (Jack), que el cuidaría de sus hermanos mas pequeños y se mantendrían ocultos hasta que cada uno cumpla su mayoría de edad para que nadie pueda separarlos.

Durante su estadía en la granja, conocer a Allie, que pronto descubrirá los oscuros secretos de esta familia.

Ese sería un resumen bastante acertado sin revelar spoiler, pues esta película esta repleta de misterios que se nos revelarían casi al final y nos hará entender todo a la perfección, sin huecos de guion ni nada por el estilo. De hecho, el gran secreto no es algo que nuestros protagonistas nos oculten, de hecho, ellos hablan sobre eso con naturalidad durante toda la entrega, el problema es que nosotros nunca estamos muy seguros de qué es lo que están mencionando y cuando creemos tener una idea algo clara, un buen plot twist nos hará volar la mente.

I found a recommendation for this movie thanks to a TikTok video, which was sold as a psychological thriller, but I think it has much more than that, there is also drama, mystery, and in fact, it has some horror scenes, wow! They managed to make the hairs on my arm stand up in a way that hadn't happened in a long time with any current horror movie.

This film manages to capture you from the beginning, and I assure you that at the same time, it will cause you an anxiety of not knowing exactly what is happening or more importantly, what will happen since the events are far from being easily predictable.

On several occasions we are told about ghosts, in fact there are a few scenes where these ghosts can be seen, but not everything is as it seems. This film is definitely full of them, but it has nothing to do with paranormal activities, and I think that's the most disturbing thing.

Although this installment is already a few years old, having been released in 2017, it is undoubtedly one of the best films I have seen this year. I think it goes without saying that I highly recommend them!!

He encontrado la recomendación de esta película gracias un video de tiktok, que la vendían como un suspenso psicológico, pero creo que tiene mucho mas que eso, también hay drama, misterio, y de hecho, tiene algunas escenas de terror, que vaya! lograron erizarme los bellos del brazo como hacia mucho tiempo no me sucedía con cualquier película de horror actual.

Esta película logra atraparte desde su comienzo, y te aseguro que al mismo tiempo, te provocará una ansiedad de no saber exactamente lo que está sucediendo o mas importante, de lo que pasará ya que los sucesos están lejos de ser predecibles con facilidad.

En varias ocasiones se nos habla de fantasmas, de hecho hay unas cuantas escenas donde estos fantasmas se dejan ver, mas no todo es lo que parece. Definitivamente este film está plagado de ellos, pero nada tiene que ver con actividades paranormales, y creo que eso es lo mas perturbador.

Si bien esta entrega ya tiene unos cuantos años, pues se estrenó en 2017, sin dudas es una de las mejores películas que he visto este año. Creo que no hace falta decirles que se las super recomiendo!!
