SOUNDTRACKS AND MOVIES

Music is addicting. Every sound having what meaning it brings to a person, what emotion it conveys. It can even be many things at once, even.

I've always been a lover of good sounds. Much of them, songs from when I was a younger girl and a few from the changing times. One amusing thing though about some of the songs in my playlist is that they may not appeal to a good number of people's taste. They're songs I may just like because of the beat, an ad lip, just a line from the lyrics, the emotion it gives me(or memory it sparks) in that moment or just for something not-the-regular.

But, also, if you go through my playlist, you find songs that were soundtracks from movies. For every movie I saw last year, as an instance, you would find one/two of its tracks in my device. Even some from long ago.

I've grown that much attachment that even when I change gadget, I don't forget to make updates on them.

Last week, my friend who I had gone to visit had another friend over. I was making breakfast and put on some music as I like to do.

The first song finished. Second came on, and this visiting friend came up to me and asked, "is that be careful with my heart?," I gave a nod
She asked that I send the movie to her, to which I told her it was just the soundtrack I have, not the entire movie.

She went back inside and as each song rolled, I heard her raise her voice and sing along. She'd go ahead to enquire why my songs were from movies and I'll shrug and say that it's just a few and She'd appreciate my taste. And every every one of them has a different feeling it puts me in and different vibes as well

You see, the music that had drawn her attention was from a movie I saw almost over ten years ago. From the Philippine movie, "be careful with my heart."

The movie is about a young lady who got duped while trying to move abroad and couldn't bear to go back home. In one of the days she was at the airport to lay complaint on what had happened, she rescued a little girl who was almost hurting herself. She gets recruited to work as the girl's nanny which she agreed to. But, she'd have to face the unlively family while chasing her dreams.

I had, during the time of watching the film grown interest and learned the song by heart. The lyrics of it are simple, catchy, the song in itself is heartfelt.

Until date, the soundtrack still gives me as much glee and newness as it did the first time I heard it. It was used all through the movie(making it the major sound). You don't hear it and not sing along. It reminds me of Maya's childlike spirit and how she changed things around at her Boss's house and her naivety and heart full of love.

So, i ask, can you see a movie that there's no talking, like, the volume is turned off? I guess not.
Music soundtracks are just as important as the movie itself. They easily get you into the feelings of the scenes. Just very important.

And there, my entry to the #Inleo prompt, What is your favourite music soundtrack.

Thanks for gracing this post.
Greetings!

Most times we might actually forget a movie we watched but the music lives with us for a long time
