Intro

There are a lot of romance comedies that I have seen and some or most of them are great. But there is one movie that sets apart itself from all of the movies that I have seen. The movie is "My Little Bride" from South Korea. At first, I was interested in the movie because of the concept of the "little bride". Little Bride sets itself apart from the movies that I have seen because of its unique storyline.

I actually watched this movie during the pandemic. I was drawn to this movie because, I say it again, the concept of a "little bride" movie to me is somewhat new because I have never seen a movie like it before.

Narrative

The narrative of the movie is about the cute, funny, light, and lovable story of a bride from an "arranged marriage". The movie shows what an arranged marriage in South Korea looks like and I think you could not see any movie as lovable as this one. This movie is so cute that you will feel young again watching it.

Thoughts

When I started watching the movie I immediately noticed that the male protagonist is "handsome" and what could be the best way to have a cute couple than to have a "cute" female protagonist? Their first is kind of funny because the male protagonist is being some playboy things until he gets up with the female protagonist (see image below).

The ensuing scene inside the bus made the movie fun and cute to watch. And if I may add, the two protagonists do look cute together even if their age gap is clearly visible.

The intro background of the movie is catchy and with a comedic and fun vibe which makes any viewer interested in the movie. It is also a good thing that the movie uses different actresses in portraying the "little bride" and the movie goes a step further by making her handicapped.

I do not know why the film uses a different actress as a little bride in the opening scene of the movie but it did the job by getting the attention of any viewer that is going to watch it which I think is a clever move.

Perfect chemistry was shown between the two protagonists when the male brought a present for the female. The present, which turns out to be a "brassiere" (see image below). The scene is funny because it got me smiling which is a sign of more funny scenes to come.

I said that this movie was cute, after the first scenes another cutie appeared, this time a supporting actor who will act as a fling of the female protagonist. If you are going to look at their physical appearances, the female protagonist and male supporting actor look great together (see the image below of the cutie male supporting actor).

Aside from the cute supporting actor, the supporting actress is cute too! They really wanted this movie to be cute! (see the image below of the cute supporting actress).

It got more and more interesting when the grandfather made a move to finally convince the two protagonists to marry. It was a clever plot on the part of the grandfather because he finally got the two protagonists to marry against their (though they look cute together setting aside their clear age gap).

The ploy of the father to get his son to marry is also clever as he does something unique. He took a baseball bat and hammered down an old car of the family. The ploy is effective as the son is forced to talk to his future bride and convince her to just marry against his will.

As the plot progresses I never thought that there would be some scenes to ease up the somewhat stressful nature of the previous scenes as the protagonists had to go to a perceived honeymoon on Jeju Island.

It is also clever to add the attempt of one of the supporting actresses to win the heart of the protagonist (which he dislikes very much). Then there's the thought of "What if their marriage is made public). It made me curious about what will happen next if it happens.

The scenes were done sparingly, from the time of the male protagonist alone on Jeju Island and to the scenes of the female protagonist (because she was left by their airplane).

The funniest scenes of the movie come when the two protagonists finally move into their own house all the scenes are lightly funny and so easy to make you smile. It was indeed a romantic comedy movie.

Conclusion

The movie is great. It is indeed a romance comedy movie that is cute, light, and not going to stress you high enough with its dramas. It is a funny, cute, and well-written romantic comedy movie out of South Korea. All the characters have done their roles effectively.

This is a unique movie because you hardly see a movie that is so cute and light like this one. The scenes are all great. It shows the rawness of the behavior of the female protagonist which is exactly what can be seen in a typical 15-year-old girl.

If you are looking for fresh new faces and a unique plot this is a movie to watch. You won't get bored in this movie because all the scenes are perfectly made not too long not too short just exactly what I am looking for in a scene. The script is all great as it perfectly fits into the scenes in act of the actors and actresses of the movie.

It is a job well done for the movie and for all of the actors and actresses of the movie. They act normally as if they were not in front of a camera. Needless to say, they act very normal which is a testament to their acting skills.

I do recommend this movie to those who are into K-drama.
