You are an adult, as am I, as are any of us in this community and in this project, which is HIVE. For some reason that you can't rationally explain to yourself, your life is repetitive, utterly lonely and although not totally meaningless, it is extremely bitter and cold ‘How did I get to this point in my life, where did it all start to go wrong?’ Well, this film explores just that .... Andrew Scott (the protagonist) takes us inside the origins of the road I had to travel as a human being to become what his adulthood is.

All of us stranger, is a cinematic essay on the plague that is annihilating society everywhere. It is also a profound study of loneliness and the loneliness we desperately crave as individuals. The film's relationship between fiction and realism is simply elegant but also splendid. It is impossible not to be sensitised by this proposed story. Tears, sometimes, even if one tries to diminish them; they still evaporate? Let me be clear about this, it has been a long time since I have enjoyed such a well-made dramatic film.

I wasn't at all surprised to discover that this is another of those exceptional scripts that only A24, the mythical production company of the moment, could bring to the big screen. The protagonists have a story, which reminds me a lot of ‘Her’ but for me the key to this film is in the majestic subplot that explains the reason for the deep loneliness of the protagonist. The parents are, without a doubt, the pillar of any child... Imagine that when you were 10/11 years old you lost both your parents in a traffic accident and from that moment on you were absolutely alone in the world...

You were always a different child, different, more sensitive, non-violent, funny but very close to them, to your pillars, to your only and most important loves of your young life; your parents... The way they recreate in this film the grief and how to deal with deep wounds that were never dealt with, is simply beautiful. It doesn't surprise me at all to see that this film has almost all good reviews. It is almost 2 hours of introspective, beautiful, well made, simple, introspective cinema with just the right amount of human emotion that connects with all of us, the audience.

So you see, in a time of cinema full of films and proposals that are empty or that try to imitate the greatness of yesteryear, I am personally grateful to have been capped with films like All of us strangers. And, as you well know, I am not one of those people who plaster spoilers in their analysis or reviews. I consider the experience and expectations of each individual to be sacred. This film is a hidden treasure within Disney Plus, and it's a treat for those of us who appreciate good drama within the film genre but also fiction without exaggeration. This film is a personal catharsis, where no one will be left indifferent.

yes, that loneliness that you mentioned, at the beginning of the trailer is quite noticeable, drama is not my forte 😅 but the film is seen through letters that manages to convey a great feeling and reflection, at least that without knowing more of the film, I would have to see it to see what it leaves in me.

In my case I am very happy in solitude, of course I have my people but the tranquility that gives me to see things from the silence is well 🙂

This is such a sad movie, but I think it portraits really well how grief and loneliness feel. Btw, I love this duo together
