Frey's Findings- What is new this week?
(Sourced by www.canva.com)
Hello and welcome back to this week's edition of 'Frey's Findings' where I tell you what is new with the youth. Let's get on with this week's issue!
This week in the movie community, 'Avatar: The Way of Water' has been a hit in the box office and has charted in first place this week. The Avatar franchise started in 2009 and follows a paraplegic Marine veteran who goes to Pandora as a part of the Avatar programme but ends up falling in love with a Na’vi woman and is drawn into a battle for her world. This movie is the latest release of the franchise released in 2022. The movie is directed by James Cameron and is over 3 hours long! That is a trend I see in James Cameron films as 'Titanic' is also just over 3 hours long. I love James Cameron films, anyone else?
You can watch the trailer to the newest Avatar here!
This week on Netflix, 'The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die' has been trending in number one in the UK with 25.7 million hours streamed this week. The storyline follows the wake of King Edward's death, where Uhtred of Bebbanburg and his clan adventure across a fractured kingdom in the hopes of uniting England at last. Sounds interesting! It must be good to have accumalated all of those streams! Have you streamed this film yet? It stars Mark Rowley, Pekka Strang and Agnes Born. I personally haven't heard of these people but I always like to find new actors to watch!
Here is the trailer!
This week on streaming services, 'Barry' on HBO Max has been a hit. The series stars Bill Hader who I and most of the youth know from IT: Chapter Two (Based on the novel by Stephen King.)
The plot follows Barry, a hit man from the Midwest who moves to Los Angeles and gets caught up in the city's theatre arts scene. The series has 4 seasons and the newest episode comes out on April 30th. Unfortunately I cannot stream this series as to my knowledge we can't get HBO in the UK. To all of the overseas readers, have you watched it?
Here is the trailer to the final series.
This week on Youtube, the latest 'Carpool Karaoke' video hosted by James Corden has been released, this one starring Adele. A lot of people don't like James Corden- I know a lot of the youth aren't a massive fan of him but I quite like him. I grew up with him by watching 'Gavin and Stacey' which is a UK Romcom which is very popular over here. I love the 'Carpool Karaoke' series, there is always the most popular celebrities and I always find it a very interesting watch. Do you like Carpool Karaoke? I love the newest episode especially because I love Adele's music. I love her voice and all her songs are so catchy.
This week in the celebrity world, everyone has been talking about the rumours over Kylie Jenner and Timotheé Chalamet dating. These rumours have since been confirmed but many of the youth are in uproar over it. Chalamet is a very popular actor to the youth and I have watched a number of his films. Jenner is quite a controversial person. People either love her or hate her. They just seem like such a strange couple to be dating to me, Jenner is a public figure and Chalamet- one of the most popular actors of today.
That is all for today's issue. Tune in again next week to see all the newest among the youth. Have a great week!
