Weekly Writing Prompts by CineTV - #11
Out of inspiration?
If you have been wondering what to write about in our community, there's no need to have a lack of inspiration. We have five posts on the CineTV account every week that can help you get inspired to write something. For the youth we have Frey's Findings on Monday, we have this Weekly Writing Prompts post on Tuesdays, the very popular contest on Thursdays, a new format called Cine Kids on Friday (more about it further in this post) and last, we have the weekly newspaper on Sundays. Our content schedule is definitely becoming filled up which is nice!
Especially if you use the CineTV frontend, hint hint.
Let's get to the prompts I picked for this week.
Movies that made an impact
I believe everyone must have at least one, but probably a few movies that have made an impact on their lives in a way. This can be movies that were scary because you watched it as a child and were actually a bit too young to watch it (I have a few of these, lol) or maybe because it was such a sobby story that you never forgot about after you saw it.
But there are also movies that make an impact in a very drastic way for some, this can be because the topic is so close to your personal situation that you can relate to the main character, to give an example.
Maybe there was a movie you went to see with your partner when you were young and have fond memories of the moment you went on a first date? You name it, we want to read it!
Cine Kids
As you can see I'm pushing forward the Cine Kids tweet a bit here because the second edition has been published last Friday and I wanted to take a moment to promote it a bit more here in case you have missed it last Friday. I wrote about children's tv in our childhood and I already received a few very nice comments from community members (thank you for this!) with some nice memories of their childhood and the cartoons they used to watch, but I'd love to see some more engagement, can we make this happen?
It's nice to compare what we all used to watch in the past vs what's on tv today. I also spoke about the intensity of the cartoons back then vs now. I'd love to read your opinion on them as well.
Opposite day
I had no idea there was such a thing as opposite day until I found it a few weeks ago. Nevertheless it inspired me to start a writing prompt about the topic because opposites are a thing in our lives in many ways. The simplest one is probably black vs white but there are so many more, can you name one that's somehow connected to a movie?
Some opposites that could be used are: evil & good, hot & cold, high & low etc...
If you can't connect it to a movie, feel free to just leave a comment here or below the tweet if you have something else to share about the topic, we love all the engagement, even if it's just a short comment!
That's it for this week, next week we are back to share another round of inspiration for your writings in the CineTV community. Make sure to follow our Twitter account and join our discord channel.
See you next week!

Children's movies are a jewel, I'm 21 years old but I still watch animated movies that I love, I think I have an idea for a new post, I hope I have time to publish something else this week.
