The park where I usually walk has been lonely these days.

I have not written in Hive for several days. It has been hard for me to break this silence. I have tried several times but what we are living these days in the country does not make it easy for me to think about anything else. I know that it is necessary to take care of our mental health and not let stress take over us. And despite of the worry, the anguish, the pain and the fear, we must not let them take away the hope of a better tomorrow. And we have to relax to keep strong. Music is always a good companion and great for unwind. It is also a perfect excuse to break the silence with a post for #threetunetuesday.

Today's songs are some that I've listened to these days. Some I already knew, others I just discovered. They are not related to each other and any reference in any of the songs that makes you think about what we are living in Venezuela is up to each one's interpretation.

Without further ado, the songs I have chosen to share today.

Tune 1 - Natalia Lafourcade (En Mano de Los Macorinos) - Un Derecho de Nacimiento

Those who have followed me on #ttt know that I really like the Mexican singer Natalia Lafourcade, she is wonderful. Un Derecho de Nacimiento is a song composed by Natalia in 2012 during times of conflict in her country to support a student movement.

Tune 2 - Rubén Blades and Making Movies - No te calles

I discovered this song these days. I had not heard of it before, it is a collaboration between the genius of Ruben Blades, the Panamanian singer and composer, and an American indie rock band called Making Movies of which I had not heard anything before. The song, No te calles, is one of the pieces included in an album of the band that was released in 2019, titled Paraiso Road Gang.

Tune 3 - Chico Buarque - Apesar de Você

Apesar de Você was one of Brazilian singer Chico Buarque's greatest hits. He wrote it in 1970. The song was banned in Brazil in the 70s during the military dictatorship and was later released in 1978.

Bonus Tune - Calle 13 - Latinoamérica

And today I'm including a bonus tune. The Puerto Rican hip hop fusion band Calle 13 and their lead vocalist Residente have never been one of my favorites, to be honest, but there is no doubt that they have their place in Latin American music. And these days, I've been listening to their song Latinoamérica. A song that has a powerful social discourse that represents the clamor of a continent. It was released by Calle 13 in 2011. In the video, they perform it accompanied by the Venezuelas's Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra.

Have you heard any of these songs before? Which one did you like the most? Tell me in the comments.

Thank you very much for reading!

Enjoy the music, and enjoy life!

Big hugs Super Eli, I know it can't be easy over there at the moment. Who knows what will happen.
More and more countries are in turmoil, even here we have days of rioting with an incompetent government that was voted in.
But yes enjoy music and enjoy life Super Eli😘💙

The world is upside down. I have seen news about the riots in the UK :(
When will human beings learn to live in peace? It seems to be an unanswerable question.
Here it isn't easy to know what will happen. But every day we have more victims and people suffering.
Big hugs, Super Ed 😘💙🌀

I do hope that you take care of yourself. Things are looking rough there and I hope that calmer heads prevail.

Thank you! We do what we can to take care of ourselves but to be honest no one is completely safe here these days. I hope that there is a peaceful solution, that's what I want to believe at least.

Please be safe dear. You are in my thoughts.

It was not as good as I read in some news, I hope everything will be better soon in your country.

Or, might move to Spain ? Hehe

The situation is quite critical. There is a lot of repression and uncertainty. There is no rule of law. We will see what happens.

How are you doing? Have you already adapted to the routine of being a newborn's mom? ;) I hope so 🤗😘

Music was invented to convey that which words do not reach. You spoke loud and clear with this selection. I stay with Calle 13, René's lyrics always touch my soul. ❤️

Esa canción en verdad tiene una letra potente.
