El mundo se encuentra en un estado de caos desde hace décadas. A veces es lindo que nuestra imaginación pueda escapar de nuestra realidad. Me gusta mucho la historia, geopolítica y también la ciencia. Entonces encontré en la ciencia ficción mi género predilecto, como ya hablé aquí hace unos años.

Hoy les vengo a hablar de Star Trek, más precisamente de la saga Enterprise, el primer viaje de la humanidad con motores de WARP. Mucho antes de la existencia de la federación, cuando todavía no existían protocolos definidos para la interacción con otras culturas y donde la diplomacia se hacía sobre la marcha por la falta de experiencia en el contacto con otras especies.

En todas las diferentes versiones de Star Trek el capitán tiene un papel protagonista por ser quién tiene las decisiones finales y la responsabilidad. No solo por su puesto militar, sino por la carga emocional y la alta vara ética que suelen tener los capitanes de carrera.

El capitán de la NX-01 “Enterprise” es Jonathan Archer, hijo de Henry Archer quien fué la mente detrás del primer motor warp, aunque no llegó a verlo completado. Cuando probaron el prototipo warp , fueron contactados por los “Vulcanos”, una especie basada en la supresión de las emociones y una vida dedicada a la lógica. Son quienes se tomaron la tarea de “preparar” a la humanidad para terminar con la guerra, violencia y pobreza que aún existían en la sociedad pre warp.

Jonathan Archer creció viendo como los vulcanos frenaban a la humanidad de avanzar en la conquista del cosmos. Mientras pasaban los años, ese sentimiento se acrecentó por las molestas limitaciones del alto concilio vulcano que se entromete constantemente en los asuntos internos de la tierra.

Un klingon fue abatido en Texas por un granjero que defendía su propiedad. Archer, ya convertido en capitán, convence a las autoridades de la tierra que le permitan hacer su primer contacto diplomático con los Klingon. A pesar de las quejas de los vulcanos.

Por suerte para la serie la primera expedición se realizó y pudimos disfrutar de esta maravillosa pieza. La primera expedición de la humanidad se realiza con T'Pol, una vulcana como oficial de ciencia y subcomandante de la Enterprise. Una vez que se lleva a cabo la primer misión, nadie esperaba que el NX-01 Enterprise volviere al muelle espacial. Siguió su camino de exploración para hacer contacto con nuevas especies, y, con coraje, llegar a donde nadie había llegado antes.

La modalidad de Star Trek de que cada capítulo es una historia separada le da una gran diversidad. Muchos problemas son complejos y sólo la tenacidad, compasión e ingenio de la humanidad pueden lograr una solución balanceada y ética. Star Trek me hace creer que nuestro destino es la grandeza exponiendo lo mejor de nuestra raza.

Los personajes y las personalidades de las diferentes especies hacen que la serie sea muy interesante y enriquecedora. Es una excelente forma de introducirse en el mundo de Star Trek, nada como el primer viaje!

Espero que les haya gustado mi post tanto como a mi escribirlo. Miro muchas series y películas, me encantaría participar en esta comunidad, estuve mirando los lineamientos y espero haber cumplido con todas las normas. Todas las imágenes usadas en éste post se encuentran identificadas y la mayoría son parte del material promocional original de la franquicia. Toda imagen tiene su link de origen. The world has been in a state of chaos for decades. Sometimes it is nice that our imagination can escape from our reality. I really like history, geopolitics and also science. So I found in science fiction my favorite genre, as I already talked here a few years ago.

Today I come to talk about Star Trek, more precisely about the Enterprise saga, the first voyage of mankind with WARP engines. Long before the existence of the federation, when there were still no defined protocols for interaction with other cultures and where diplomacy was done on the fly due to the lack of experience in contact with other species.

In all the different versions of Star Trek the captain has a leading role as the one who has the final decisions and responsibility. Not only because of his military position, but also because of the emotional charge and high ethical standards that career captains tend to have.

The captain of the NX-01 "Enterprise" is Jonathan Archer, son of Henry Archer who was the mind behind the first warp engine, although he never saw it completed. When they tested the warp prototype, they were contacted by the "Vulcans", a species based on the suppression of emotions and a life dedicated to logic. They are the ones who took on the task of "preparing" humanity to end the war, violence and poverty that still existed in pre-warp society.

Jonathan Archer grew up watching the Vulcans stop humanity from advancing in the conquest of the cosmos. As the years went by, that feeling was heightened by the annoying constraints of the Vulcan high council constantly interfering in Earth's internal affairs.

A Klingon was shot down in Texas by a farmer defending his property. Archer, now a captain, convinces Earth authorities to allow him to make his first diplomatic contact with the Klingons. Despite the complaints of the Vulcans.

Luckily for the series the first expedition took place and we were able to enjoy this wonderful piece. Humanity's first expedition takes place with T'Pol, a Vulcan as science officer and deputy commander of the Enterprise. Once the first mission takes place, no one expected the NX-01 Enterprise to return to space dock. It continued on its path of exploration to make contact with new species, and, boldly, to go where no one had gone before.

Star Trek's approach of each chapter being a separate story gives it a great deal of diversity. Many problems are complex and only the tenacity, compassion and cleverness of humanity can bring about a balanced and ethical solution. Star Trek makes me believe that our destiny is greatness by exposing the best of our race.

The characters and personalities of the different species make the series very interesting and enriching. It's a great way to be introduced to the world of Star Trek, nothing like the first trip!
