I watched the 2007 movie Captivity, a movie that reflects suspense and fear to the audience by kidnapping and imprisoning a successful female model.

First of all, I would like to share my general thoughts about the movie. The movie is not bad in terms of the script and the progression of the story, but the mystery that cannot be added to the fiction makes every scene of the movie predictable. This makes it frustrating to watch because knowing in advance what will happen in the next scenes or how the movie will end takes away the pleasure of watching.

I remember many movies about kidnapping someone and torturing them both physically and psychologically in the room where they are imprisoned, and I liked almost all of them. The story is simple, but if you keep the range of the plot wide, you can blend a lot of material together and make more successful productions.

The movie Captivity progresses well up to a point, but then it starts to pause and decline. The kidnapped female model and the events that follow are acceptable, but you don't serve disgusting food to someone you're aiming for something.

For example, you don't mix some blood with a severed ear, heart, liver and similar organs, put them in a grinder and make someone you want to make fall in love with drink the resulting mixture. That scene was the most ridiculous and unnecessary moment of the movie.

The way they described the state of mind of the siblings who had a troubled childhood was quite inadequate. The brothers, who grew up very close to each other, can suddenly plan and act to the point of wanting each other's death. And this ebb and flow between the characters is very inadequate.

The only positive thing I can say about the movie was the successful acting of Jennifer Tree (played by Elisha Cuthbert). Watching her from the moment she was kidnapped to the moment she managed to escape was the most enjoyable moments of the movie.

I do not recommend watching Captivity, I can easily say that it was a waste of time for me. Those who love kidnapping and torture movies may watch the movie in order to make comparisons with the movies they have seen before, but I would like to say that I still think it should not be watched.
