Kho Gaye Hum Kahan
One of the 2023 Netflix productions, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan is not the first Indian movie I have watched and it will not be the last. Indian movies are among the productions that sometimes I especially prefer and sometimes I especially avoid. One of the most important reasons for this is their long duration.
Kho Gaye Hum Kahan has a wide range of stories and allows us to question some current issues through the friendship of three characters. The most important of these was the way the characters confronted the consequences of love, ambition, business, social media, heartbreak and the repercussions of their preferred lifestyles as they shared their life stories.
I think that the way social media is reflected in the story and the way it is reflected is very valuable, especially in terms of the point it has reached today and the damage it causes to human relations.
It is the wish of most people that no one should be marginalized and targeted for the way of life they prefer. While the movie touches on these issues in some scenes, it makes sarcastic references in a way that I liked very much.
Such references are present throughout the movie. I can say that the use of social media, jokes about the levels of relationships and the three close friends who are interconnected and engage the audience with questions of right and wrong by using their own lives as an example are the main themes of the story.
The female of the three characters is played by Ananya Panday as Ahana. She was remarkable in her ability to represent both segments without ever falling into the traditionalist and innovative dichotomy. With the character of Ahana she portrays, she successfully addresses that she is in the middle and that freedoms need to be developed.
Siddhant Chaturvedi as Imaad seemed to be the member responsible for the social media aspect of the story. Playing the role of a victim of social media in his own relationship, the character became the voice of many of us with his explosive scenes and the moments when he hacked his lover's account were the most enjoyable moments of the movie.
Adarsh Gourav as Nell was very successful in reflecting the male personality who is ashamed of his past and takes revenge on life by turning to humor to hide his shame. The role she assigned to herself in the network of one-night stands was the biggest indicator of this. And the scene where he confesses this was one of the most beautiful moments of the movie.
Defining friendship very well through three characters was the biggest plus of the movie. The lives of the characters who see the bottom in their relationships but the top in friendship constitute the general story of the movie Kho Gaye Hum Kahan.
For a while, while watching the characters in the movie, I was reminded of the movie 3 Idiorts because there were similar inspirations. Fortunately, this situation did not last long and the movie returned to its own path and left a pleasant aftertaste. I highly recommend you to watch the movie, I am sure that 2 hours full of sincerity and intimacy will add value to your life.
