3 A harpooned and bleeding whale's struggle for life in the ocean ends one day later. It took 24 hours for it to die, during which time it resisted its fate as much as possible.

The whale in the ocean, which first tries to struggle with its wounds and then turns into a fight for its life, symbolizes the Bastoy children. Bastoy is a Norwegian juvenile detention center where unruly underage children are held.

The 2010 film Kongen av Bastoy is a multi-award-winning movie based on a true story, with an excellent story and narrative. The example of the whale above symbolizes the lives of the Bastoy children, who add enormous value to the movie. They fight the same struggle as the whale against the warden and his staff.

The fact that the story symbolizes real lives makes it more heart-wrenching and heart-wrenching to watch, but it also makes the movie interesting and compelling. As human beings, it should be our primary duty to make sure that such realities are heard by everyone as much as possible, instead of being covered up. The world of cinema makes this contribution in spades and gives the people of the world the opportunity to learn hidden truths.

The fact that the movie won a lot of awards is probably due to the fact that it was written perfectly in terms of the story and the script. I liked the whale example the most. It doesn't make much sense at the beginning of the movie, but as you watch the movie and see what happens to the children living in Bastoy, it makes sense. The juvenile detention center management, which takes advantage of children's cheap labor and punishes those who rebel by torturing them, is actually an example of events that have happened in the past or today, or may happen in the future. The example in question is, of course, in a bad sense.

I cannot make any distinction for the child actors in Kongen av Bastoy. Each one of them makes a tremendous contribution to the movie with their excellent acting performances. I would like to single out Kristoffer Joner, who plays Brathen, a child abuser who is in charge of the juvenile detention center, for the example he sets. The character he portrays is sure to get everyone's reaction, but the drama and traumatizing behavior he brings to such a role is a valuable reminder of the existence of such people in our midst.

It is strange and disgusting that even though there are 100 years between the story and today, similar problems are still preoccupying people. But it seems to be our only hope that wherever it happens, it will be uncovered and those who contributed or were negligent will be punished so that it will never happen again.

I think everyone should watch the movie Kongen av Bastoy and be reminded of the fact that this kind of thing can happen in places far from supervision. For me, the movie has many teachings and each of these teachings turns into something that makes the movie very valuable. You may feel sad watching it, but I would say it is worth it.
