Sugar Mountain - People corrupted by the power of money
Those who watched the movie U Turn with Jennifer Lopez and Sean Penn will remember the scenes in the movie with the plot that repeated itself over and over again and turned the audience on its head. Sugar Mountain, which constantly changed the story with scenes that turned the audience upside down at least as much as in that movie, was a step up in terms of immersion and excitement.
I can't say that the performances of the actors were superior, but I can say that it was more successful in terms of twists and turns and constantly changing the story to keep the excitement at its peak. Although it has a simple and straightforward script, the movie adds to your viewing pleasure with the mysteries it contains and the innovations it adds to the usual flow.
We know and see that there are many attempts to make money the easy way. People sometimes take part in illegal organizations or create their own illegal organizations because of their greed for money. There are definitely those who are in legal trials. Although cryptocurrencies include my own experiments, I have not yet reached a sufficient level of success.
Anyway, if I go back to the movie Sugar Mountain, we have the opportunity to watch a group of people step by step until the last point where the ambition to make easy money brings them to. I think the movie can be a lesson for like-minded people because once things get out of control, it leads to mistakes that are impossible to come back from.
The movie highlights illegal ideas as a way of making money the easy way. In a difficult geography, first lose yourself and then come out and sell the story of the struggle for life in the lost days. We have the chance to see many times throughout the movie how something that sounds so simple verbally can be so difficult in action.
What I liked most about the movie was the story and the way the story evolved with each challenge. With each evolution, the characters adapt to the new circumstances and find new stakes for themselves. The stakes were sometimes turning right from wrong, going straight to wrong, or going as wrong as possible.
When things get out of control, you are surprised how fast the movie's duration passes with scenes that are already at the peak of fluidity and excitement. I think it's one of those movies that could have been extended with a few more twists and turns...
...but the fact that it was far from boring was one of the small details that added to the viewing pleasure.
Lauren was the strongest character in the movie as she was the mastermind of almost the entire plan and made sure that every step was executed flawlessly. Haley Webb, who brought the character to life, was the most successful actress in terms of performance. Throughout the movie, she flawlessly displayed the highest profile that a character whose father is a policeman can harbor illegality.
The bitter truth of the saying "everything is permissible on the road to riches", a truth that Sugar Mountain successfully reflects and that most of us already know, creates a memorable effect after watching the movie. I recommend the movie to anyone who wants to watch the way people who succumb to their greed lose themselves and their possessions step by step. In addition, the movie stands out with its fluent story that preserves its mystery as much as possible. I think you will not lose anything. Thank you for reading.
