Since the suggestion came from me, you should join my choices. With 1 glass of cold coke and a plate of potato chips; the 1991 movie Thelma & Louise offers a ten, five star performance with its story and two female characters who are a joy to watch, excellent road trip adventure and fluency.

Before we talk more about the movie, let's get to know the two female characters whose performances I loved. Thelma (Geena Davis) and Louise (Susan Sarandon) are two close friends. As you can guess from the title of the movie, it is a road adventure and the entire duration of the movie is spent with these two characters. Don't think that a movie with two characters upfront can be boring because it is extremely entertaining and has a story that consumes time quickly.

Thelma, one of the characters, is extremely indecisive, timid, cowardly and naive; she has a passive personality that anyone can easily deceive and exploit. Despite the fact that she trusts people easily and is deceived in return every time, she does not compromise the unique personality she projects. This attitude, which seems like a disadvantage, actually makes her fun and easy to be happy with. And Geena Davis not only seems to have a lot of fun with her character, she also manages to entertain the audience. She was definitely my favorite character in the movie.

The character Luuise is highly intelligent and has a strong personality that never compromises her values. For the character, as all women deserve positive discrimination, she is always right and very distant towards men. The serious stance of the character, rather than being entertaining, leads her to the attitude that she does not lose her cold-bloodedness and that she can take instant decisions quickly and implement them immediately. With the character she portrays, Susan Sarandon has most of the qualities that a normal person should have. The most prominent of these is her courage to make quick and correct decisions thanks to her intelligent and very logical thinking. She has created and successfully portrayed a character who is quite sure of herself.

No one is born guilty, circumstances make them guilty. The journey that the two characters embark on for a few days of vacation turns from a vacation into a chase as criminals due to the events that occur one after another contrary to the ordinary flow of life.

The events that happen to the characters during this road adventure reveal quite entertaining moments for the audience, if not for themselves. Watching someone who learns how to shoot from television but turns into a sniper at the first challenge is an incredible pleasure. I always think that the luck factor favors the novices, and as if to prove it, the movie constantly changes the plot of the story according to these two characters.

We have to bear the consequences of the decisions we make. From the beginning to the end, the movie is full of teachings about questioning decisions, facing the consequences and taking a new position with the experiences gained. The fluidity of the story makes the movie run out of time quickly.

As in many films made before 2000, Thelma & Louise emphasizes the characters' behavior, facial expressions and dialogues too much. I see this as an advantage, because it is a very effective way of drawing the audience into the flow of the story.

Definitely watch the movie Thelma & Louise. It has many features that require you to watch it. The way the story turns into a road adventure, the chase scenes, the way they face the consequences of their decisions are just some of them. Believe me, you will have a good time and you will not regret watching it.
