I finally finished the third and fourth seasons of Jack Ryan | Spoiler-free opinion [ENG/SPA]

Finally I could finish watching this series, 2 years ago I saw its first two seasons that left me with a bittersweet taste, because I loved the first season, but the second one being about Venezuela and being filmed in Colombia, being very noticeable differences, caused me a strange feeling, something like when they abruptly knock you down an illusion, that left me with some uncertainty to see the 3rd and 4th season.

Finalmente pude terminar de ver esta serie, hace 2 años ví sus dos primeras temporadas que me dejaron un sabor agridulce, porque la primera temporada me encantó, pero la segunda al tratarse de Venezuela y ser grabada en Colombia, siendo muy notables las diferencias, me causó una extraña sensación, algo así como cuando te tumban abruptamente una ilusión, eso me dejó con cierta incertidumbre para ver la 3 y la 4 temporada.

But finally I was encouraged, but with some surprise because I thought that only a 3rd season had been released, not being subscribed for a long time to Amazon, so I did not know about the progress and premieres, until thanks to an advertisement in networks I learned of the 4th season that ended in July this year, so I subscribed again and little by little I have enjoyed their episodes.

Pero finalmente me anime, pero con cierta sorpresa porque pensaba que solo se había estrenado una 3era temporada, por no estar suscrito por un buen tiempo a Amazon, así no me enteraba de los avances y estrenos, hasta que gracias a una publicidad en redes supe de la 4ta temporada que finalizó en julio de este año, así que me suscribi nuevamente y poco a poco he disfrutado de sus episodios.

The third season gave me back the good feeling that the first one left me, a thriller of action and espionage, where things are revealed progressively, giving the viewer the opportunity to be part of the solution, to believe that he has the answer, to know who is the culprit or the bad guy of the game, I think that is the basis of this series, although it was somewhat intense the theme of espionage in the third season, I think it was a good job.

La tercera temporada me devolvió el buen sentimiento que me dejo la primera, un thriller de acción y espionaje, donde se develan las cosas progresivamente, dándole la oportunidad al espectador de ser parte de la solución, de creer que tiene la respuesta, de saber quien es el culpable o el malo de la partida, creo que esa es la base de esta serie, aunque fue algo intenso el tema del espionaje de la tercera temporada, creo que fue un buen trabajo.

This season deals with the eternal conflict between Americans and Russians, where a supposed Russian faction wants to return the country to the "glory" of the Soviet Union, attacking the United States to show that they are still to be feared. The theme of espionage between Russia and the United States seems to be always going to work, waging between them supposed technological wars that are public knowledge, so they are themes with which the audience can feel familiar, of course here the United States will always win.

Esta temporada aborda el eterno conflicto entre americanos y rusos, donde una supuesta facción rusa quiere devolver al pais la "gloria" tuvo la Union Sovietica, atacando a los Estados Unidos para demostrar que aún son de temer. El tema del espionaje entre Rusia y Estados Unidos parece que siempre va a funcionar, librando entre ellos supuestas guerras tecnológicas que son de conocimiento público, así que son temas con que la audiencia se puede sentir familiarizado, claro acá siempre va a ganar los estados unidos.

The fourth season I believe was a forced closure, in fact there were only 6 episodes, many speculated that it was not the usual 8 episodes due to problems with its protagonist John Krasinski, which is totally false, since he himself stated that this would be his last season, that he did not intend to renew because the contract he initially signed was only for 4 seasons. The reality is that its premiere was delayed more than it should have been due to the problems caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

La cuarta temporada creo que fue un cierre forzado, de hecho solo fueron 6 episodios, muchos especularon que no fueron los acostumbrados 8 episodios debido a problemas con su protagonista John Krasinski, lo cual es totalmente falso, ya que él mismo declaró que esta sería su última temporada, que no pretendía renovar porque el contrato que firmó inicialmente fue solo por por 4 temporadas. La realidad es que su estreno sí demoró mas de lo debido por los problemas que ocasionó la pandemia de Covid-19.

The theme they addressed in the fourth season was quite peculiar, it starts with Jack Ryan assuming the position of deputy director of the CIA, but this time with the mission of unmasking the corrupt within his country, which is associated with the most powerful criminals on the planet, to achieve this he assumes the same role of the entire series, does not keep the protocols or superior orders, which may be flawed due to so many bad people involved.

El tema que abordaron en la cuarta temporada fue bastante peculiar, inicia con Jack Ryan asumiendo el puesto de director adjunto de la CIA, pero esta vez con la misión de desenmascarar a los corruptos dentro de su pais, que se asociando con los criminales mas poderosos del planeta, para lograrlo asume el mismo rol de toda la serie, no sigue los protocolos ni órdenes superiores, las que pueden estar viciadas debido a tantas personas malas involucradas.

The truth is that it was not my favorite this last season, the enemy that appears seemed to me very far-fetched, I will not say which one it is so that it does not cease to be a surprise for those who have not seen it. Also the series had more drama thanks to the return of Cathy Mueller's character (Abbie Cornish) who did not appear since the first season, I guess due to the non-continuation of Krasinski, they had to give a retreat to Jack Ryan with whom at one point was his only romantic relationship.

La verdad que no fue mi favorita esta última temporada, el enemigo que aparece me pareció muy rebuscado, no digo cual es para que no deje de ser sorpresa para quien no la ha visto. También la serie tuvo mayor drama gracias al regreso del personaje de Cathy Mueller (Abbie Cornish) que no aparecía desde la primera temporada, supongo que debido a la no continuación de Krasinski, debían darle un retiro a Jack Ryan con quien en un momento fue su única relación romántica.
