Hey community, it's my first post with you and what better way to share than talking about the new season of The Rings of Power that just premiered on Prime Video. It was a long wait to be able to enjoy this high-level blockbuster again, it's literally like enjoying a Lord of the Rings movie divided into several episodes.

Los Anillos de Poder temporada 2: comienza la verdadera batalla por la Tierra Media

Saludos comunidad, es mi primera publicación con ustedes muy que mejor para compartir que hablar de la nueva temporada de Los anillos de poder que recién se ha estrenado en Prime Vídeo. Fue una larga espera para poder disfrutar nuevamente de esta superproducción de tan alto nivel, literalmente es como estar disfrutando de una película del Señor de los anillos dividida en varios episodios.

The previous season contextualized the story for us. Let's remember that Galadriel, a commander of the elven armies, was searching for Sauron, a malignant entity that reincarnates every so often, and who in the midst of a battle ended the life of her brother. Blinded by revenge, she made many mistakes that were detrimental to the elves, and unknowingly guided Sauron himself, who took the form of a man named Halbrand, to the craftsman Celebrimbor to create the rings of power.

La temporada anterior nos puso en contexto sobre la historia, recordemos que Galadriel una comandante de los ejércitos de los elfos, se encontraba en la búsqueda de Sauron, una entidad maligna que reencarna cada cierto tiempo, y que en medio de una lucha acabó con la vida de su hermano. What are the Rings of Power?

According to J. R. R. Tolkien's story, there are 20 rings of power, 3 for the elves, 7 for the dwarves, and 9 for men, in addition to the one ring that we know from The Lord of the Rings trilogy. These rings are created by the elven smith Celebrimbor with the help of the knowledge provided by Sauron, with the aim of subjugating Middle-earth and all its inhabitants.

Opinion and summary of The Rings of Power, season two

This second season starts with a darker tone but with a much better pace than the first season. In just the first 20 minutes of the episode, we see Sauron, in one of his previous appearances, struggling to seize power in Middle-earth after the fall of Morgoth. We see him presenting his plan to the orcs, who are led by the dark elf Adar. This plan involves many sacrifices, and that's why he mentions that many orcs will die, which they obviously don't like. That moment when the orcs attack him after Adar stabs him with what was supposed to be his crown is intense.

Opinión y resumen de Los Anillos de Poder, segunda temporada

Esta segunda temporada inicia con un tono más oscuro pero con mucho mejor ritmo que la primera temporada, solo en los primeros 20 minutos del episodio vemos a Sauron, en una de sus anteriores apariencias, haciendo esfuerzos por hacerse con el poder en la Tierra Media tras la caída de Morgoth. Le vemos presentado su plan a los orcos que son liderados por el elfo oscuro Adar, este plan representa muchos sacrificios y por eso menciona que muchos orcos van a morir y obviamente eso no les gusta. Ese momento cuando los orcos le atacan, luego de que Adar le clava lo que iba a ser su corona.

It's because of this altercation that we finally understand why Adar and Sauron haven't gotten along since the first season. These kinds of flashbacks are great because, although we know a lot about these characters' pasts thanks to the Silmarillion, there's nothing like seeing it portrayed in a movie or series. For example, I'd love to see the fall of Morgoth depicted, as he becomes evil and loses his power.

Es por este altercado que finalmente sabemos porque Adar y Sauron desde la primera temporada no se llevan. Este tipo de flash back son muy buenos, porque aunque se sabe mucho gracias al Silmarillion sobre el pasado de estos personajes, pero nada como representarlo en película o series, por ejemplo, me encantaría ver representada la caída de Morgoth porque se vuelve maligno y pierde su poder.

I'm not an expert in Tolkien's universe, to be honest, I think it's very complex. But over the years, I've read a few things to better understand the plot of the movie and now the series. Something I remember, and that is mentioned in the movies, is that the lands of Rhûn are home to those who were allies of Morgoth. The Stranger, the man who fell from the sky and seems to be Gandalf, is heading towards this place. And in this new season, we see a new wizard in these lands who seems to be Saruman. Could there be a wizard showdown coming?

No soy un experto en este universo de Tolkien, la verdad que creo que es muy complejo, pero con el paso de los años he leído una que otra cosas para poder entender un poco mejor la trama de la película y ahora la serie. algo que recuerdo y que se menciona en las películas es que las tierras de Rhûn son lugar de los que fueron aliados de Morgoth. Hacia este lugar se dirige The Stranger el hombre que cayó del cielo que parece ser Gandalf y en estas tierra en esta nueva temporada vemos a un nuevo mago que parece ser Saruman acaso ¿se viene un enfrentamiento de magos?

Another major appearance is Isildur, as he begins to take center stage and forge his character and abilities due to the role he will play later in the future of Middle-earth. We see how his horse Berec finds him, a scene that reminds us of the movie The Two Towers, where Brego, Aragorn's horse, finds him lying on the riverbank and takes him back to Helm's Deep. Thanks to Berec, Isildur faces the spider Shiloh, but when she is still small, and later he confronts the thieves of his horse, all conflicts that will forge his character.

Otra de las grandes apariciones es Isildur, como empieza a tomar protagonismo y a forjar su carácter y habilidades debido al rol que tendrá mas adelante para el futuro de la Tierra Media. Vemos cómo su caballo Berec lo encuentra, una escena que nos trae al recuerdo la película las dos Torres, donde Brego el caballo de Aragón, lo encuentra tirado a orillas del río y lo lleva de regreso al abismo de Helm. El caso es que gracias a Berec, Isildor se enfrenta a la araña Shiloh pero cuando aún es pequeña, además luego enfrenta a los ladrones de su caballo, todos conflictos que forjarán su carácter.

These revelations, and many others, are given to us in just the first three episodes of the season, which I thought was great. Each one fills you with awe and excitement, leaving no time to get bored if you love these kinds of stories. The CGI is some of the best I've seen in a long time for a TV series, the acting is very good, I loved Disa the dwarf, a woman of character who plays her role spectacularly. Honestly, everything has been very well developed and has me very excited, and we're only three episodes in.

Estas revelaciones así como muchas otras nos son dadas solo en los tres primeros episodios de la temporada, eso me pareció genial, cada una te llena de asombro y emoción, no dan tiempo para aburrirte si te encantan este tipo de historias. El CGI es uno de los mejores que he visto en mucho tiempo para una serie de television, las actuaciones son muy buenas, me ha encantado la de Disa enana una mujer de carácter y que cumple espectacularmente su papel, la verdad que todo a sido muy bien desarrollado y me tiene muy emocionado y solo van tres episodios.
