True Detective Night Country lived up to the hype [ENG/SPA]

Finally the 4th season of True Detective has come to an end, Sunday was the premiere of its sixth and last episode, unlike previous seasons that had 8, however, they weren't necessary, this amount was more than enough to satisfy the audience, at least I was quite pleased, it was one of the best police and suspense stories I've seen, it isn't the best police series I've seen, I mean the combination with the suspense and mysticism that this story proposed, it was simply excellent.

Finalmente la 4 Temporada de True Detective a llegado a su fin, el domingo se estreno el que fue su sexto y ultimo episodio, a diferencia de las temporadas anteriores que tuvieron 8, sin embargo, no fueron necesarios, esta cantidad fue mas que suficientes para dejar satisfecha a la audiencia, por lo menos a mi me dejo bastante complacido, a sido una de las mejores historias de policías y suspenso que he visto, no es la mejor serie policial que he visto, me refiero a la combinación con el suspenso y misticismo que esté historia propuso, fue sencillamente excelente.

Con solo tres episodios estrenados hasta la fecha de mi publicación me fue suficiente para establecer una medida comparativa relacionada a la historia y actuación de sus protagonista, encontrando varios puntos en común que dejan claro que el estilo de Nic Pizzolatto se mantuvo en todas las temporadas.

Con solo leer el título ya nos adentramos en el misticismo que acompaña las tierras de Alaska en su temporada mas sombria, 30 días sin luz solar durante el mes de diciembre y parte de enero, además de las costumbre y creencias de los nativos Inupiat, todo engrana muy bien para ser el perfecto escenario para asesinatos llenos de muchos cabos sueltos que no parecen tener explicación y que rápidamente se asocian a lo sobrenatural, eso lo hace la serie de maravilla, de inmediato realizas conjeturas y te hacer parte de lo inexplicable.

The performances of Jodie Foster as Liz Danvers and Kali Reis as Evangeline Navarro were very good, I was not wrong to compare Foster's work with McConaughey's in the first season. Her maturity and experience as an actress lend a fluidity to the scenes that make you believe you are really watching a woman embittered by the blows of life, who pretends to drown her hardships with work and who leaves the door ajar to let out emotions in fits and starts.

Las actuaciones de Jodie Foster como Liz Danvers y Kali Reis como Evangeline Navarro fueron muy buenas, no me equivoque al comparar el trabajo de Foster con el de McConaughey's en la primera temporada. Su madurez y experiencia como actriz dan una fluidez a las escenas que creer estar viendo realmente a una mujer amargada por los golpes de la vida, que pretende ahogar sus penurias con el trabajo y que deja la puerta entreabierta para dejar escapar emociones de a ratos.

Kali Reis as Officer Navarro achieves a very interesting chemistry with Foster, she is also a woman who hides a past and is emotionally very affected, but she does not give up in her commitment to solve the murder that even after 6 years haunts her. Both protagonists stand out but the performances of the rest of the cast are not far behind, each one does very well what they do, they are not very impressive, but they are good enough for the protagonists to stand out.

Kali Reis como la Oficial Navarro logra una química muy interesante con Foster, también es una mujer que esconde un pasado y que emocionalmente está muy afectada, pero no desiste en su compromiso de resolver ese asesinato que aún después de 6 años le persigue. Ambas protagonistas destacan pero las actuaciones del resto del elenco no se quedan atrás, cada quien hace muy bien lo que le toca, no son algo muy impresionante, pero si lo suficientemente buenas para que las protagonistas destaquen.

Algo muy interesante es que en 6 episodios son pocos los matices de los hechos pasados de las vidas de ambas protagonistas que se aclaran, solo breves momentos de aquello que marcó un antes y un después en sus vidas se deja ver, pero no sientes que hace falta que te cuenten mas, logras comprender que la tragedia de sus vidas les hizo quienes son, mujeres sensibles que les duele lo que ocurre y no pretender quedarse de brazos cruzados cuando otra mujer es maltratada o asesinada.

SPOILER ALERT. I love that until the end the story maintains the possibility for the audience to believe that everything is the product of a being from beyond who came to take revenge, or that scientists after their research awakened something ancient that is killing people. The reality is that the mind can be deceitful, not understanding something and being confused we fall into conjecture and if we don't hold on to our sanity we lose the details that make us see that everything has an explanation, that we just have to ask the right questions.

OJO QUE AQUÍ VENGO CON UN PEQUEÑO SPOLIER. Me encanto que hasta el final la historia mantengan la posibilidad para que la audiencia crea que todo es producto de un ser del mas allá que vino a cobrar venganza, o que los científicos tras su investigación despertaron algo milenario que está matando gente. La realidad es que la mente puede resultar engañosa, al no comprender algo y estar confundidos caemos en las conjeturas y si no nos aferramos a la cordura perdemos los detalles que nos hace ver que todo tiene una explicación, que solo tenemos que hacernos las preguntas correctas.
