Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers Neighborhood ... Garfield and Friends (U.S. Acres was actually better than Garfield in that) ... all good clean fun, and I learned a lot of things I still hint at in teaching and writing stories about children today. FRANKLY, the problem with today's children's television is that very little that feeds the mind or soul can be learned, and that is a shame when you consider: we will only be young and impressionable ONCE.

Oh yes, I remember Garfield and friends too now that you mention it.. Sesame street was of course a big part of my childhood too. Every day it was on tv at the same time and I remember it being there for many years..

That's exactly what I was hinting at, it's not about feeding the mind valuable things anymore while I remember plenty of these cartoons from my childhood that actually taught me a lot. I feel sad in a way that this somehow faded to the background..

Thank you for your thoughtful comment, I love reading the different cartoons we all remember. And then I reckognize a few more here and there, sweet stuff!
