SPOILER ALERT! If you haven't watched the movie yet, feel free to skip this post.

Hello everyone!

This is me again, dheannn! It's been some time since I posted my last post. Currently busy with our graduation practices, hehehe.

So for today's post, I'll be sharing my personal insights along with what I've learned after watching Inside Out 2. We all know that Pixar released this new movie in continuation with the first part of Inside Out. Here's the trailer for the movie:

As we all know, the movie talks about different emotions one can have from the day they are born. These emotions are something that is totally normal for us. Emotions that tell us what to feel in every situation. Without these emotions, one's life would definitely be incomplete.

In this new chapter of the movie, new emotions were added in Riley's mind such as Anxiety, Ennui, Envy, Embarrassment and Nostalgia. These new emotions mostly represents the negative side of our emotions and our inner self. Emotions that sometimes, take over our minds. With that, we tend to feel like lost at some point in our lives. We all do experienced that point really. Wherein we have to fit in, to prove ourselves, and even show off for a purpose. That's valid and it's really normal.

Therefore, what caught my attention in the movie? First of all, Anxiety. In my early puberty stage or teenage years, I remembered that most of the time, I always tend to think way ahead to either protect myself or impress someone. It came to the point wherein I felt like I was never good enough for everybody such as my friends and family. After watching this movie, I realized. Anxiety I think is the lead emotion in me. I knew to myself that I'm anxious to almost everywhere and to my every actions. Second is Ennui. As a working student and always busy about thinking way ahead, I tend to get easily bored and lazy to the point that I'm finding it hard to be productive not unless I'll force myself to do so. Next is Envy. This is really a thing. Knowing that I grew up having insecurities that developed in me, I tend to get envious about anyone who looks better than me, do better than me, or even have something that I don't. Embarrassment started when I finally opened my eyes to the reality of life. It's when I do such thing and feel like it was never enough. It's when people talk behind my back without me even doing anything.

Lastly is Nostalgia.

Well, she did not have that much of a cameo in the movie but I believe that she played an important role in Riley's mind. We all know that Nostalgia is when we remember something that's so happy or memorable. No matter what the mess in our head but if Nostalgia is triggered, we tend to look upon the bright side. Therefore, I believe that Nostalgia do helped some other times. To allow myself to resurface whenever I feel like Anxiety is too much.

Overall, I believe that the movie tells us to always let our emotions be felt. Let our emotions be validated and heard. Cause at some time, all we need is the comfort and control of our emotions. All we need is to have it felt. But, our emotions should never tell us who we are suppose to be. It should only be a guide but we, ourselves should choose what's best for ourselves. I knew so far that most of us had crisis about our emotions but we should always remember to keep control of it. It will be valid but we should not let those put us down.

Well, that's it for today's post! Thank you so much for taking time in reading my blog, I appreciate your time. My overall rating for this movie is 10/10 and it is really recommended. Thank you so much everyone! God bless.
