Girl Meets World: A Disney Series (ENG/ESP)
People always say that the Golden Age of anything existed in the stage of their adolescence and I agree with that and I remember when I was about 14 or 15 years old I was still a big fan of Disney, I spent watching their movies and series as soon as I got to school, even today thanks to the platforms I still watch some of the things I saw back then, for me no matter how many releases Disney launches nothing will be better than what I saw in my time between childhood and adolescence. That is why through this post I want to tell you a little about what was one of my favorite series at the time ¨Girl Meets World¨.
Girl Meets World is a 2014 Disney series, a sequel to the Boy Meets World series. The main character is Riley Matthews, daughter of Cory and Topanga Matthews, protagonists of Boy Meets World. She and her friend Maya grow up as the series progresses, gradually discovering what it's like to live life as a teenager.
Riley is a good girl who has her father Cory as her seventh grade teacher. She has her best friend Maya who is a rebellious girl and often gets Riley in trouble, Farkle is the smart boy in class who has a crush on Riley and Maya. Also, in the first chapter Lucas appears, a boy who comes from Texas, Riley feels a romantic interest in him. As the series progresses this group of friends will face situations related to self-love, human relationships, mental health, family problems and other important issues.
I honestly felt that Disney had a long time without launching a series of this type, it was canceled in the 3rd season so it has a bit of a far-fetched ending, even so it is a series that has very warm characters and with whom you can easily get attached.
The main series ¨Boy Meets World¨ has 7 seasons and has as main characters Riley's parents, Cory and Topanga. It is not necessary to watch that series before watching Girl Meets World but I warn you that there are several winks to that series and some characters that we meet for the first time in this series of 1993 appear.
Several of the chapters of this series made me cry, if you are a teenager you can feel identified with several of the situations that Riley and his friends go through and if you are an adult surely some scenes make you feel a little melancholic, if I had to describe it I would say a very warm series and even the way the characters talk makes you feel a certain way that I can't explain. We can see that even the most rebellious character has a good heart and even the most uncomfortable situation is covered by some sadness, it is simply a group of children who are growing up, they are trying to understand their emotions and knowing themselves while going through different situations. Without a doubt it is a series that I recommend and if you are sensitive like me you may also cry in some episodes.
Las personas siempre dicen que la Época Dorada de cualquier cosa existió en la etapa de su adolescencia y estoy muy de acuerdo con eso y es que recuerdo que cuando tenía unos 14 o 15 años seguía siendo muy fanática de Disney, me la pasaba viendo sus películas y series a penas llegaba a clases, incluso el día de hoy gracias a las plataformas sigo viendo algunas de las cosas que veía en ese entonces, para mi por más estrenos que Disney lance nada será mejor que lo que yo vi en mi época entre la niñez y la adolescencia. Es por ello que a través de este post quiero contarles un poco sobre la que fue una de mis series favoritas en su momento ¨El Mundo de Riley¨ ó ¨Girl Meets World¨
Girl Meets World es una serie de Disney de 2014, secuela de la serie Boy Meets World. La protagonista es Riley Matthews, hija de Cory y Topanga Matthews, protagonistas de Boy Meets World. Ella y su amiga Maya crecen conforme la serie va avanzando, poco a poco van descubriendo el como es vivir la vida siendo un adolescente.
Riley es una chica buena que tiene a su padre Cory como maestro de séptimo grado. Tiene a su mejor amiga Maya quien es una chica rebelde y suele meter a Riley en problemas, Farkle es el chico inteligente de la clase que está enamorado de Riley y Maya. Además, en el primer capitulo aparece Lucas, un chico que viene Texas, Riley siente un interés romántico por él. Mientras la serie avanza este grupo de amigos se enfrentará a situaciones relacionadas con el amor propio, las relaciones humanas, la salud mental, problemas familiares y y otros temas bastante importantes.
Sinceramente sentía que Disney tenía tiempo sin lanzar una serie de este tipo, fue cancelada en la 3era temporada por lo que tiene un final un poco rebuscado, aún así es una serie que cuenta con personajes muy cálidos y con los que te puedes encariñar fácilmente.
La serie principal ¨Boy Meets World¨ tiene 7 temporadas y tiene como protagonistas a los padres de Riley, Cory y Topanga. No es necesario ver esa seria antes de ver Girl Meets World pero si te advierto que se hacen varios guiños a esa serie y aparecen algunos personajes que conocemos por primera vez en esta serie de 1993
Varios de los capítulos de esta serie me hicieron llorar, si eres un adolescente te puedes sentir identificado con varias de las situaciones por las que Riley y sus amigos pasan y si ya eres un adulto seguramente algunas escenas te hagan sentir un poco melancólico, si lo tuviera que describir diría que una serie bastante cálida y es que hasta la forma de hablar de los personajes te hace sentir de cierta forma que no sé explicar. Podemos ver que hasta el personaje más rebelde tiene un buen corazón y hasta la situación más incomoda esta cubierta por algo de tristeza, simplemente es un grupo de niños que están creciendo, están intentando comprender sus emociones y conociéndose a si mismos mientras pasan por distintas situaciones. Sin duda es una serie que recomiendo y si eres sensible como yo posiblemente también llores en algunos episodios.
