Hunger Games The Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes (2023) [ESP/ENG]

Based on the 2020 novel of the same name by Suzanne Collins. This movie tells the story of Coriolanus Snow, one of 24 students at Panem Academy. He and his classmates are selected to be mentors for an annual tribute to the 10th Hunger Games. With this Coriolanus hopes to win the Plinth Prize and thus improve his financial situation. After meeting the female tribute from District 12, Lucy Gray Baird forms a relationship with her that increases his desire to protect her in the Hunger Games. Even so, this is not a love story, but one that tells us part of the young life of this character who ends up being the villain in the famous trilogy The Hunger Games.

Basada en la novela homónima de 2020 de Suzanne Collins. Esta pelicula nos cuenta la historia de Coriolanus Snow, uno de los 24 estudiantes de la Academia de Panem. Él junto a sus compañeros son seleccionados para ser mentores de un tributo anual a los 10º Juegos del Hambre. Con esto Coriolanus espera ganar el Premio Plinth y así mejorar su situación económica. Después de conocer a la tributo femenina del Distrito 12, Lucy Gray Baird forma cierta relación con ella aumenta su deseo de protegerla en los Juegos del Hambre. Aún así, esta no es una historia de amor, si no una que nos cuenta parte de la vida de joven de este personaje que termina siendo el villano en la famosa trilogía Los Juegos del Hambre

In this movie we can find characters from the complete trilogy, and others that although they did not appear, they remind us of characters already known, implying that they may be ancestors of them. It is a movie for fans of this industry but if you have never seen any movie of The Hunger Games you may also like it.

Tom Blyth who plays had his first starring role in the movie Scott and Sid (2018) and Glen Byam Shaw in Benediction (2021). On the other hand, Raquel Zegler we could see her in Shazam! The Rage of the Gods as Anthea. With both actors being relatively new the audience was able to connect with them in a better way and see no one else but their respective characters.

En esta película nos podemos encontrar en personajes de la trilogía completa, y otros que aunque no aparecieron nos recuerdan bastante a personajes ya conocidos dando a entender que pueden ser ancestros de ellos. Es una película para fanáticos de esta industria pero si jamás has visto alguna película de Los Juegos del Hambre posiblemente también te pueda gustar

Tom Blyth quien interpreta a tuvo su primer papel protagónico en la película Scott and Sid (2018) y a Glen Byam Shaw en Benediction (2021). Por otro lado, a Raquel Zegler la pudimos ver en ¡Shazam! La furia de los dioses como Antea. Al ser ambos actores relativamente nuevos la audiencia pudo conectar con ellos de una mejor manera y ver a nadie más que a sus respectivos personajes.

I went to see this movie at the cinema last year and it is an experience that I do not regret, before watching it I thought it was a movie that would clarify many doubts but rather left me with even more. A few days ago I saw it again and it was just as exciting, I also recommend you to read the book, although I admit that I have not done it I have met people who have and they have told me that the mind of Coriolanus is quite interesting and makes you understand the character much better. At the time I didn't read it due to lack of time but maybe at some other time I will.

Fui a ver esta película al cine el año pasado y es una experiencia de la que no me arrepiento, Antes de verla pensé que era una película que me aclararía muchas dudas pero más bien me dejó con aún más. Hace pocos días la volví a ver y fue igual de emocionante, también les recomiendo que lean el libro, aunque admito que yo no lo he hecho he conocido gente que si y me han comentado que la mente de Coriolanus es bastante interesante y te hace entender mucho mejor al personaje. En su momento no lo leí por falta de tiempo pero puede ser que en algún otro momento lo haga.
